The contact owns a 2012 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. All warning indicator lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it w diagnosed the transmission module and battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. While driving, the vehicle continued to jerk and there was smoke emerging from the vents. The check engine warning light was illuminated. There was an abnormal booming noise detected. The contact had to press the accelerator pedal continuously for the vehicle to move forward. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed the catalytic convertor needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was contacted but provided no additional assistance.
