The low beams have stopped working. I now cannot drive after dark and if I have an emergency with one of my three kids I will not be able to take them anywhere. High beam and parking lights work. Replaced headlight bulbs and still won't work. There was a recall in canada but not the USA. It's been months and can not afford to have the fuse box replaced. Radio has also stopped working for the past 3 weeks.
Apm control module attached to radio was explained to me by bennie at john bleakley Ford lithia springs GA. . Radio was making a loud static noise would even make it with the car ignition turned off. Even setting overnight would be start making this loud noise for no reason. B ennie told me this module controled sever things on this vehicle and could possibly put me on the road side. I travel alot. This noise can not be controled by the on/ off or volume control. John bleakley replaced so called module it still does the same thing. They said that the part they put on was a bad part and would reorder another one. Still waiting 3 weeks later going on 4 for part to come in to replace. And of course I have already paid my 500. 00 plus dollars for repair. Can you help me or advise me why its taking so long? I feel as though I have been scamed.
The rear door lacthes of my car have failed, rear pass. About a year ago and rear driver today, 11/8/2015. After opening the door, the latch fails to engage and hold on to the little metal bar mounted on the body when closing. To keep the door shut I have to tape it until I can get the latch replaced. The car was stationary.
The contact owns a 2012 Ford Fiesta. After the contact parked the vehicle, he heard an abnormal booming static noise coming from the speakers. Once the vehicle was started and before shifting into gear, the static noise was still audible. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the radio module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 66,000.
Latch failed. My passenger needed to put some possessions in the back seat because there wasn't enough room in the front. He proceeded to put his things in the back, then came to the front and got into the passenger seat. I started the car and the radio display notified me that a door was ajar. I asked him to re-close the back door and when he attempted too, it wouldn't latch. We tried pulling the door handle on both the inside and outside, locking and unlocking the car, and pushing as hard as we could on the door, but the door wouldn't latch shut. I ended up having to duct tape the door close, but the interior light remains on and reduces my visibility through the front windshield due to the glare. I feel very unsafe leaving my car in public places due to the risk of theft, and leaving items back there for fear of them flying out of the vehicle while in motion.
As I was backing out of my driveway my alert light pinged on letting me know my passenger door was open. I leaned over to shut it and the latch of the door wouldn't catch and actually close. I got out of the car and walked around my vehicle thinking I had something in the way and I couldn't find anything. I kept attempting to close it and check the latch but I couldn't find a reason as to why my door wouldn't shut. I attempted to tape it shut to drive it to the dealership but it didn't hold, and neither did rope. I had to call roadside assistance and have my vehicle towed to a Ford dealership for this safety concern. Very upset that I'm not even out of my 3 year warranty yet, and come to read more this is a huge issue that is being investigated right now and no actual recall for the problems.
The rear door latch jammed on my 2012 Ford Fiesta and door wouldn't shut. Had to tape door so as not to open. I took the car to dealer and they gave me an estimate of $650 to repair. They were not aware of any prior issues with door latches reported to Ford.
