Gasoline Fuel System problem

The contact's son owns a 2014 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced an engine cooling system failure and was repaired. The contact later became aware that the VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 17v209000 (engine and engine cooling) that he related to the failure. The contact stated while his son was was at a complete stop at the traffic light, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was able to restart with a 15 seconds delay. Upon making a right turn, the failure reoccurred. The contact's son was able to restart the vehicle; however, the failure persisted upon making a left turn. The vehicle restarted with a 30 seconds delay. The contact's son was able to continue driving. However, the failure reoccurred the next day while coming to a complete stop. The check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle failed to restart after several attempts. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that fuel rail and fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was able to restart and was towed to the contact's residence. The contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 15v005000 (fuel system, gasoline) and NHTSA campaign number: 14v402000 (fuel system, gasoline); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 36,999.
