My fuel pump is failing causing my car to stall at strange times.
I received a recall notice about a year ago warning my vehicle may randomly stall due to a defect with this vehicle. About 6 months later I started experiencing random stalls mainly while stopped at red lights. I have lost my recall notice and when I contacted my local Ford dealer they said the VIN associated with my vehicle was not on the recall list. However, Ford has a public recall relating to a fuel pump warning the exact problem my vehicle is experiencing and it is a huge safety concern. Ford refuses to repair the vehicle.
Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated while driving 60 mph on the hwy the vehicle stalled. No lights illuminated at the time of the failure. The vehicle was able to restart on the fourth attempt however the failure recurred. The check engine warning light illuminated 1 week later. The vehicle was taken to a independent dealer were it was diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure millage was 46,000. Ck.
