I was driving on the highway, and my car started shaking. All of the sudden I couldn't push on the gas anymore, and out of the blue a notification popped up on my screen that said "transmission failure, service immediately" and the car fully stopped working. I was forced to coast to the side of the highway, where I ended up in an incredibly dangerous spot. I had to call the cops, have them come so I wouldn't get hit (it was fully night time), and had to wait for a tow truck to come tow me and my car off the side of the highway.

Ford Fiesta 2013 had a transmission malfunction warning pop up and the car aggressively jerked back then wouldn’t accelerate past 25 mph. The warning light stayed on. The car a couple miles after the incident wouldn’t accelerate at all even though the engine was on. This type of stopping happened twice. This issue is not related to my driving or accident but due to Ford producing a car with set malfunctions.

The transmission is slipping and jerking. I can't change gears without a issue and the car stops. The engine revs even when I am not going fast. The transmission says it is overheating and I got my fan fixed months ago and had done it before but seemed to repair itself so I thought.

When do purshase the car the speaker on r side had alot of static and when I would drive the wheels seem to wobble, and felt ver in safe to drive. When I was to take car in the covid came and closed everything down. When service department open I took car in and explained what was wrong so they replaced the speaker and said the r side under wheels were really bad and it needed to be fixed. I didn't remember to let service know about the inside parts that was broke and missing. Then they had to close again. Once I was able to get oil change and wheels rotate it I managed to talk to the sales agent and explain to him what was going on and he told me to bring my car in to see how much it would be and he would give me his discount price. This stuff was damaged before I even purchased the car so I don't think I should have to pay for anything. Now something up under my car is making sounds when I break and I don't think it's the brake pads or the shoes because I know that sound and it has to be something else. I have had problems with this car since I purchased it and even before taking it off the lot and because of the covid-19 it's been very hard to get back and forth to get things taken care of I'm afraid to drive my car now because when I let off the gas and get ready to go into the break it sounds very strange. I personally think that this car had a lot of damages could have been in a crash prior to me purchasing the car and it's just not safe. I haven't had the car a year and when I purchased a car it was 38,437 and now my car is 40,000 I will try to get this fixed before I drive it and put myself and my grandkids in danger.

Rear passenger strut snapped on 5 hour highway drive. When lifted at the garage it was discovered that wood screws were used to secure the strut brackets instead of bolts. One of the screws had already fallen out of the strut that had snapped and on the rear drivers side, one of the wood screws used was loose and half way out. The type of screws used were wrong because there was nothing to tighten them or hold them in place securely as a bolt with a nut would and they turned and loosened as vehicle was driven. 2016 purchased from a dealership on 9/7/2019 with 30k miles.

New vehicle was sold with 2 manufacturing defects: 1) defective front left shock absorber with made steering unstable. 2) leaking value cover gasket with created a fire risk. 3) both defects where confirmed by a dealer. 4) vehicle has not been inspected by manufacturer, police, insurance representative or others. 5) no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of problem were presented prior to first dealer inspection. 6) the dealer who discovered the 2 manufacturing defects within the 3 year warranty period, held the vehicle over the weekend and claimed to have fixed both. However the next time I took it to a service center I was told the value cover gasket was leaking. 7) I eventually returned to the original dealer who sold me the vehicle and they confirmed that the value cover gasket was leaking and apparently was not repaired under warranty as expected. 8) the original dealer repaired the value cover gasket off-premise in local parking lot and over charge me based on previous warranty price.
Noise from right front strut area. Verify noise from outside strut found to be leaking pass side strut leaking. Replace strut and hardware.
Been noticing now with the Ford Fiesta 2018 that my third gear. Loses the grip going up hill. Been like this for a few weeks. I have taken the car to the dealer. Two times have they repair it. Yet, sadly seems that this will be the third and final time. Can't believe Ford doesn't do durable manuals anymore. The issues are a lot on the highway. Can't afford a crash or accident.
While driving I hear like a knocking noise coming from the front end, while driving down main streets and side streets.

I have two issues on my car. The first and most concerning one to me is jittering in the drivetrain up front when taking off. Feels like its slipping in between gears. While dking this it sounds like metal components rolling close to each other as if there were some slop allowing them to float around some. Thats all as far as drivetrain. My second issue is the front passenger side wheel area on certain bumps feels and sounds like a strutt or shock has wear on it and allowing it to make frequent thumping noises while going over these bumps. Quite often with worn roads where I reside. Other than these issues its been a really good gas saving car. Thank you for your time.

It just started running ruff my fan went out first then my radio now the transmission is slippin and feels like breaks are grinding.
Open recall for fuel system for this years car to those made up to June 2014. My car should fall under this as it will not pass emissions and therefore registration due to the fuel system which stalls out every time I fill up for gas. My car was manufactured in July. Additionally, the suspension needs to be completely replaced due to failure. Even my mechanic is completely baffled why a newer car would have so many safety issues.
This Ford Fiesta has many problems I have spend over 1300 dollars this car has many safety issues. The doors poped open while driving this car. I contacted Ford and the representative was not caring she stated it's out of their warranty . I explained to her that the doors came open with my two year old in back seat in a car seat could have fell out. I also told her the car stopped in the middle of the road. It's something wrong with the transmission on this car. This vehicle is not safe and I would like this looked into. I was traveling on a highway all american in fayetteville nc.

I bought a used 2011 Ford Fiesta in December of 2014. Within a couple of weeks I began to experience excessive shuddering, knocking, banging noises. Excessive shaking, stuttering. I have taken it to my Ford service department and all they said is Ford wont do anything until the car breaks down or fails to move at all. And when that does happen, all corporate Ford will do is replace the clutch and they even said that wont be a long-term fix because it will always happen again and again. . I am really fearful of getting into a serious accident with this lemon. . . I am hoping but not holding my breath on Ford taking responsibility for this. . Until the NHTSA makes them do something about it.
Traction control randomly turns on and off. Dealership "unable to recreate the problem" told me not to worry about it.
Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that she received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v461000 (equipment). However, the part to do the repair was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time to provide the part to do the repair. Bd.
When putting the car into reverse it would grind and kick it into netural, shifting to 2nd to 3rd the stick shift woild make me go to 5th instead then go back to 3rd. Jerking when turning at an intersection making it difficult to make a safe turn.
The vehicle shuttered, make grinding sound and hesitated when starting up and driving. At every stop light, stop sign when starting up again, the same sounds, and hesitating would occur. Took vehicle in to the dealer who said I needed another clutch and transmission. About $3000. 00. I have another vehicle same year, same model, and exactly the same situation is happening, these vehicles should be recalled immediately.
Drove car on highway this morning on way to work and car would not accelerate or go. The only thing moving was the rpm's. I had to pull over on the highway and turn the car off. After the restart, the car was able to accelerate but now it was shifting badly in and out of gears. My work was only right around the corner so I was able to make it in. I went on a lunch break to test drive it around the block and it was giving me the same problem. Shifting out of 4th gear into 3rd for no reason. It's not even drivable. I have already had this car in the shop 2 times for transmission issues. Both times took weeks to get my car back, and I've only owned this car for a year and a half. This will be the 3rd time it's going into the shop, and now it's starting to risk my safety in the process. I have a 1 year old as well so I am not happy about this! something needs to be done about the safety issues of these cars and their transmissions.
The 2014 Ford Fiesta has a very sluggish shift between the first and second gears and the upshift bogs down as if the vehicle might stall. The transmission defect includes bucking, kicking, jerking, harsh engagement, and delayed acceleration and lurching. I had an incident when changing lanes at slow speeds when the transmission of my vehicle jerked and while the other driver was also partially at fault, the faulty transmission also contributed to a minor fender bender.
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that when coming to a stop, there was an abnormal noise coming from the front driver side of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was unable to be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 300.
When accelerating from a stop the car hesitates and then lunges forward, and shutters. When driving up a hill or turning corners the car shutters. When accelerating the car makes noises due to the shift forks. When at a stop with the car running and in the drive position, or when stopped on a flat surface the car rolls in reverse. As my son was walking behind the car while it was in parked on a slight incline the car rolled back and hit my son.
I bought a new 2013 Ford Fiesta in November of 2012. I have had nothing but problems since. It has been in the shop more than 3 times, once was a broken catalytic converter, the other time was a soaked clutch, and another time was to get recalibrated. This car has acceleration issues and almost causes many accidents for me, it is shaky and bumpys, and jumpy. Everytime I take it in there is something wrong with and they advised me its not normal for new cars, when I read the reviews everyone has the same issues. There is also a roll back when you stop and press the gas to go, I have almost hit multiple cars in front of me because of this.
Car started grinding, crunching, and shaking, and had difficulty turning, accelerating, and going up hills. Car was brought to a Ford dealership and mechanics were told by owner that there was a transmission problem. Mechanics reset transmission, but did no further work. Car continued to make noises, shutter, and jolt. Was brought to another Ford dealership on December 2014 when car was sputtering at stops. Mechanics replaced entire transmission when 23000 miles only.
The car started shaking this is not the first time there have been countless other problems with this Ford product. There needs to be a recall on this.
