The power steering system failed and numerous other electrical systems showed as broken as a result. The dealer service dept said: "we found corrosion on connector c1467a meaning that water is getting inside the connector somehow which caused the module to short out. The steering rack is not the failure, it is the module. However, the module is built into the steering rack. Can't replace it separately. So in order to replace the module, I have to replace the rack. " this failure caused the power steering to stop working, making it extremely difficult to drive the vehicle. The repair cost over $4000.
Rear camera recall has not been remedied it has be 9 months.
Recall has not been remedied, and it has been over six months. I was told it would be remedied by June or Ford would be held accountable for compensating for repairs on the. Recall. #25sa9/25v695 the recall addresses the camera for backing up witch is still not functioning in a safety risk.
2019 Ford Flex limited and the rear view camera will come up with a blank screen or a blue screen and not show anything. Then will show the error of camera not available. This problem has been reported in other Flex vehicles and is listed on the NHTSA id number: 24v951000. According to the local Ford dealer, this vehicle is not affected but is showing all the symptoms of it. This occurs intermittently. The camera will work on one reverse, and not work on the next.
The failed/malfunctioning components involve the rear backup camera system and related electronic driver assistance/safety systems in this 2016 Ford Flex, including the blind spot warning system and parking collision warning features. The condition is intermittent but ongoing and the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The backup camera intermittently goes blank, freezes, displays improperly, or becomes unavailable while the vehicle is in reverse. At times, the blind spot warning system and parking collision warning features also intermittently fail or become unavailable. These failures create a significant safety risk by impairing rear visibility and reducing driver awareness of nearby vehicles, objects, or pedestrians during backing and parking maneuvers. The problem has been occurring for more than one year. The issue has been reproduced and confirmed by the dealership, which has stated that the vehicle is subject to an open safety recall. However, the dealership reports that parts and/or the final repair remedy are still unavailable, and no repair has been completed despite repeated attempts to obtain recall service. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership/manufacturer representative in connection with the recall condition. No police or insurance inspection was involved because no crash has yet occurred. Prior to and during the failures, warning messages and symptoms intermittently appear, including loss of the camera display and temporary unavailability of driver assistance features. The failures may occur without warning and have been recurring for over one year. The unresolved condition affects the safe operation, usability, and value of the vehicle. Backup cameras and related driver assistance systems are important federally regulated safety features, and the manufacturer has not remedied this safety recall within a reasonable period of time.
Driver side mirror blind spot warning light is on constantly while I'm driving it never shuts off unless I shut the engine down. Rear backup camera is not working at all. When I go to back up the car I only see a blue screen.
Camera recall number is 25s72 (NHTSA 25v442000). I own a 2016 Ford Flex and its having the same issue. I had the camera replaced at the dealership out of pocket once before and its still not working. I feel my issue is the same as this recall just affecting a different model.
Power steering quit, couldn't turn wheel. Alert popped up that said "steering assist fault service required" then another alert popped up "service advance trac" same issue as the earlier years of the Flex that had a recall on them so the recall needs to be extended as the problem is not fixed in the newer years.
Rear view camera does not come on in reverse gear. It was looked at about 18 months ago and the dealership service manager said it was the camera that needed to be replaced. They also saw that the camera came on for a few seconds , then went off again. They tried it about five times ,on and off. They wanted to charge me $200. 00 to diagnose the problem. So , here I am complaining to NHTSA about my vehicle's problem.
