The contact owns a 2000 Ford Focus. While accelerating from a stop, the vehicle would not accelerate forwards or backwards. The vehicle was towed by aaa to an independent mechanic. The mechanic stated that the automatic transmission was completely nonfunctional and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer could not assist due to the age of the vehicle. The current and failure mileages were approximately 19,000.
: the contact stated while the vehicle was parked in a public parking area, another vehicle hit the front end of the parked vehicle causing it to be moved ten feet onto the road. On another occasion, while parked, the vehicle moved on its own hitting another parked vehicle. The vehicle was taken into a local independent body shop for body work. There were no further examination or repairs made.
Every time I would take my car to the dealer for repairs . They would tell me there were none. In June I took my Focus to the dealer for a loud noise coming from the left rear wheel. They told me there were no ball bearings on the left side and the right side needed to be done also, they only had one in stock that day.
While driving 20 mph vehicle stalled. Consumer managed to pull over, and had the vehicle towed. Dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem.
The contact owns a 2000 Ford Focus with 22,000 miles on the vehicle. The contact had to replace two automatic transmissions. The first transmission was replaced 9 months ago with about 18,000 miles. The second transmission was replaced last week. The dealership told her to pay $129. 00 or trade the vehicle in to the dealership. She refused to pay the $129. 00 and she did not want to trade in the vehicle in for another Ford. She sent an e-mail to Ford. As of right now they have not gotten her e-mail. The dealership provided her with a rental car. However ,they told her that if she did not come and pickup car she will have to start paying for the rental car. The contact took vehicle to dealer on August 22, 2005 ,and the dealership performed recall repairs that she was never notified about. The dealership told her that she knew her car was a lemon. However, she brought her car in too late.
The transmission just suddenly went on our vehicle with 41000. This occurred during normal driving.
While shifting gears transmission locked up. Consumer was not able to unlock the transmission. Consumer had the vehicle towed to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that transmission needed replacing.
While driving about 55 mph on the highway, without warning the transmission locked up. This caused a collision with another vehicle forcing the vehicle into the guard rail. No injuries or fatality reported at this time. Please fill in additional information. Dealer is aware of the problem.
While shifting the vehicle the transmission light appear on the dashboard. And it is hard to drive please fill in additional information dealer is aware of the problem.
The automatic transmission cuts out while accelerating to 2nd gear, especially at full throttle. In the middle of 2nd gear, rpms hang around 4000 at full throttle. Letting off throttle allows rpms to reach 5700 and vehicle shifts into 3rd. Rpms hang again at 4000 in 3rd gear, and any manipulation of throttle (full, half, etc. ) does not raise rpms. This causes the vehicle to be limited to approx 60 mph.
The transmission jerked when the gear shifter was placed in gear and the transmission light illuminated on the dash. . The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer 8 times for the same repair.

I have contacted the dealer and brought my car into them at least 3 times because when im driving sometimes I have to put my foot all the way to the floor and the speedometer will not be moving and the car just don't have no power at all. The dealer keeps telling me they can not find anything wrong with the car.
Sub frame bolts loose from factory, transmision slips, brake rotors warped and replaced 3 times, dlr advised that because this veh is built in germany its a high performance veh and the brakes will not last more than 12,000 miles without having to do a complete brake job, Ford has been contacted on several occassions and have repeatdly denied that they have any brake issues with this vehicle.
When the fuel tank is less than half full and I am turning right, the engine will stall, if it does not stall, it will jerk into different gears like it is going to stall. One time it stalled while I was on a sharp curve and I lost my power steering in the middle of the curve and almost hit someone.

Car would only go into reverse, when put into drive or other forward gear it was as if the auto was in neutral.
Wife was driving car at low speed when it started vibrating and died. Towed to dealership and told that transmission needs to be replaced. Is this usual for a one year old car with 8400 miles? one week earlier, had to have cylinder head replaced. Are two events linked?.
Tires/ shocks/ wheel bearings/ transmission struts, and rotors all bad and worn out. Dealer unresponsive and so is Ford long file on this car. Dealer refuses to lemon the car out. Totally frustrated by lack of communication with dealer and Ford am considering law suit against both (tiresize: 195r7015).
Problems not being able to shift properly, gears grind, pop out, burning smell in ac/heat, never buy Ford again, bought in 8/00 nothing but problems.
When putting vehicle in reverse gear there is a loud noise. Dealer contacted.
Vehicle is in the shop as of 21 Aug 01 for water leak under dashboard? trunk will not lock, automatic transmission difficult to get out of park worst car I have ever owned. Ford motor company not helping at all. My warranty will be up in a few, that means all defects will come out of pocket for repair.
Is it common for a new vehicle transmission to go out after driving it for only 3 months? even though you have a bumper to bumper warranty, in a situation like this should manufacturer be held responsible other than replacement, is it safe to assume that after owning a vehicle for only 3 months and the transmission goes out, a new one is installed, that this is a sign of a lemon?.
My vehicle jerks very badly when shift gears specially from parking to reverse it jerks very much and the problem has been there for a while the car has been taken in vista Ford of oxnard and nothing has been done about it.
After purchasing my car in Jan of 2000. I had to take it into the shop 3 days after for a linkage problem. I was driving in reverse and reversing in drive. I have taken the car in quite a few times since then for a loud noise coming from under the hood, for it not accelerating when entering the freeway, and for it accelerating for no reason at all. Each time I took it in they said that was normal. Which I know it was not because I have been in other 2000 Ford Focus' and they are any where as loud as mine is and they do not take off like mine does, and the pick up speed is wonderful. I am aware that there are other vehicles manufactured near that date that are or were on recall. I would appreciate it if you could look into this, so I can get it fixed before any one is seriously injured.
