The contact owns a 2000 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 mph, she noticed a loud banging noise coming from underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic, who stated that the frame was fracturing and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileages were approximately 61,000.
Problems with the engine falling out of the frame of the vehicle. Dealer was contacted and stated that the warranty was expired so there was nothing they can do but how ever they will investigate why that happens. Manufacturer was contacted and also stated that the vehicle had no more warranty so if consumer wanted to know what had happened he needed to pay to have the vehicle diagnosis. Ts.
Water is leaking into the vehicle on passenger's side. Dealer was unable to locate cause of problem. Feel free to provide any further information.
Ford blue oval certified dealer performed safety recall # 00v218000. Since recall several interior trim pieces have come off and notice others install incorrectly. Owner paid non Ford dealer to reintall parts because of lack of confidence in dealer. Some parts because of being install incorrectly are now damaged.
Consumer feels the vehicle has had too many recalls for a new (4months old) vehicle and does not feel comfortable driving it, consumer recieved recall 00v-303 for the rear wheel hub retaining clip nut and recall 00v-218 for failing to comply with occupant protection in interior impact requirements. Nlm.
Owner is expressing concerns about number of recalls on vehicle, four recalls in less than a year.
Consumer noticed the carpet padding was saturated, dealer inspected and found the seam by the transmission hump had not been sealed properly.
Consumer received recall 00v218, however when the vehicle was taken to the dealer, all the parts were not available.
