1 Instrument Panel problem

Failure Date: 07/13/2008

The contact owns a 2000 Ford Focus. The contact stated that the instrument panel lights illuminate intermittently. In addition, the speedometer does not work properly at times. The vehicle will idle roughly or fast and has to be shut off in order for the idling to stop. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign id number 00v302000 (vehicle speed control:cables). The current mileage was 106,000 and failure mileage was 105,000.

2 Instrument Panel problem

Failure Date: 03/13/2008

While driving the vehicle the speedometer intermittently drops to 0 while the vehicle is moving. The odometer reads all dash marks and the vehicle shifts roughly. I was told that it is due to the speed sensor being bad. This has happened on more than one occasion and the dealership has given a different excuse why the sensor failed each time.

3 Instrument Panel problem

Failure Date: 03/19/2007

The contact owns a 2000 Ford Focus. The instrument panel indicators and tail lights failed to illuminated. The contact replaced the fuse and bulbs but the failure continued. The contact stated that the vehicle should be included in recall # 06e026000. The dealer stated that the vehicle was excluded from the recall. The current and failure mileage were 103,000.
