2012 Ford Focus. Consumer writes in regards to transmission slippage, sunroof leakage and requests a repurchase. The manufacturer advised due to the age and mileage of the vehicle they would not be able to review the vehicle for repurchase or replacement.
It was 5:00 a. M I was driving to work on i215 freeway. There was no road construction, no other vehicles around me and I heard and felt what I thought was a gunshot, however, it wasn't. The 2012 sunroof exploded up. Thank goodness there wasn't any other traffic! I continued driving to work and as soon as the sun came up I took pictures and immediately call the rental company. They told me they had never heard of this before and to bring it back. When I took it back later in the afternoon, they supposedly called the manufacturer and I was told I would be responsible. It obviously was a defect of the 2012 Ford Focus and I am not going to pay. Today I received an invoice from them. I am contacting a lawyer as well as a local news reporter.
