One problem related to steering rack and pinion has been reported for the 2015 Ford Focus Electric. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Rack and pinion epas failed--gradually at first, then completely. This part has been recalled in other Ford models but not in mine--yet. The repair bill was $2800. It happened within a few days of 3-yr warranty expiration and I filed a claim with Ford. They reduced the cost by $2000, but I still have an $800 bill to pay today, as the car has been fixed. I feel it should be all covered under a recall exemption. Shop is serramonte Ford, 999 serramonte blvd, colma, CA 94014. Repain # 227 328.
