Side/rear Glass Problems of Ford Freestar

After driving to the store with my kids I opened the driverside sliding door to get my kids out. The rear quarter window exploded. I could not find anywhere where that it made contact. Now their is glass embedded in carseats and child safety seats.

I was driving down the street when all of a sudden I heard a very loud noise like a gun shot. My Ford Freestar van back window exploded while I had children in the back seat. They could have been cut up or killed sitting back there. It was a scary situation and I would love it if this complaint could get to the Ford corp. They should recall these vans.

I can only assume that if the entire rear end of the van exploded because of defective material, they would also give us the unacceptable answer, "your warranty has expired!" the entire window was gone. We had to pay $250 and our insurance paid the remaining balance to have it replaced. I do not feel safe in a vehicle where windows can "out of the blue" explode. Which one will be next?.
