The contact owns a 2006 Ford Fusion. While driving 60 mph, the vehicle would decelerate to 25 mph. The failure occurred during acceleration and cruising. After the failure occurred, the check engine light illuminated. The consumer pulled over and restarted the vehicle; however, it would not accelerate occasionally. The vehicle was towed twice and the dealer replaced the gas tank and related components; however, the failure continued. The dealer was unable to further diagnose or repair the failure.
