This has happened three times in the last six months. While driving at highway speeds the hood randomly unlatches. Thankfully the safety latch kept the good from completely opening. This could have been very dangerous. It just happened to us today in fact. I hope the service agreement will cover to fix the problem. I see that another person complained of this same problem on this site on 2010.

Failure Date: 03/14/2014

After an engine light came on, I took my car to have the code read. The code that appeared was for the throttle body. After doing some research, I discovered that there was a recall for the throttle body for the Ford Fusion from 2009 -2012. My car was not included in the recall, but my throttle body according to the dealership is "erratic". I feel that the recall on the throttle body may need to be reexamined as my car, only two years older than those being recalled, is having the same issue. The part should not go bad that quickly. The car has less than 100,000 miles.

The idler pulley is causing a bolt to snap in two that's assisting in holding it in place, which prevents the engine belt from rotating and causing the belt to fall off( the belt did not break) making me lose power steering. This is the second time this has happen to me within a months time. This is very dangerous lucky it only happen once while I was driving on my street. The other time it happen I was parked in my driveway and I noticed it when I tried to back out and could not turn my wheel. I am afraid to put my kids into the car because this could happen again while we are out and about. This problem has cost me over $1600 and the dealership still can not give me exact reason to why this keeps happening to me. They had to pull the whole engine out the second time just to get the bolt out.

Engine light was on, took to loganville Ford they told me my catalytic converter needed to be replaced. I have called and called Ford, loganville Ford and several Ford dealers and get the same answer, that there is no eta on the part due to vendor does not have part. Meanwhile bad emissions are being put in the air due to Ford. My birthday is coming up and I will not be able to pass emissions. This is a problem and Ford refuses to help. I have a case number with Ford since 11/12/2013.

My husband was driving and the gas pedal stuck he went thru 2 red lights almost hit a car pulled the e brakes stepped on the brake pedal put it in neutral hit the gas pedal to get it to unstick and nothing but it finnally stopped. We just bought the car 2 weeks ago. We have 30 day warranty and extended. The dealed had it towed to a mechanic they hooked it up to there diagnostic machine and nothing came up so they took it to Ford and nothing came up on there machine and test drove it and nothing happened. Now they wont do anything because this "machine" says nothing they didnt even take it apart. So I have a disabled husband a 4 year old and 2 month old that I have to drive in this car. It is unsafe. What if it happens again and we really get hurt. I just want it fixed its a saftey issue now. Its like no one believes us. We are not trying to get rid of the car besides this we love the car. It took us a long time to find this car. But its unsafe we just want it fixed and replaced please help.

I have been driving the less in the thirty days after purchasing it and it started making loud squeaking noise, I told the dealer about it and he said it wasn't anything major it does it when you first start the car. It continue to get louder so I had a certified person to check out the noise. When I let him listen to the car, he looked under the hood and noticed that the idler pulley was leaning to the side and that he didn't how know I could drive the car with the idler pulley leaning. I called the dealer right then and explained to him what was going on. He then told me that he couldn't do anything about it because it has no warranty. He suggested that I let someone else to put it on. When I did what he told me the person who checked out the said that it was broken and I needed to take back to the dealership. I had the car towed because I couldn't no longer drive it. The company told me that the person who checked out my car broke it. I pulled up the car fax on the car and found out that the idler pulley broke on the car a year prior before I purchase it. I want the dealership to be responisble for fixing my car.

45 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/08/2013

The idler pulley bolt broke off and pulled the belt off (the belt did not break) making me lose power steering, and of course the battery would not hold a charge. This happend June 8, 2013, June 23, 2013 and again on September 11, 2013. Ford is telling me that there is no problem but the dealer that fixed my car the 1st two times now has it again and has a call into Ford to see what the problem could be that it has happend to me 3 times in the past 2 1/2 months. All 3 times I was driving when it happened. The second 2 times it happened I heard a pop almost like I ran something over and immediatley lost power steering. It almost has me afraid to put my kids in my car. Unfortunately I only have one car and can't afford a new one.

Failure Date: 04/21/2013

I was on the thruway when the car started to stall a green wrench light went on. I pulled over and shut the car off then I stared the car it was fine. The car had 24,000 miles on it. When the car had 33,110 on it I was on the thruway it seemed to stall and lose power. I limped home. I called Ford they said I have to bring it in but the green light must be on. To test it. The cars green light came on the car started to stall and lose power so I drove it to the Ford dealership. The car lost power it will go 21 mph. It has 33,226 miles on it. The dealership said no recall on it and no customer satisfaction program. So I was told to drive it home yes drive it home and come back in two days.

47 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 04/15/2013

In 2010 the pcm in our 2007 Ford Fusion went out and was replaced at a cost of approximately $1,300. Three years later while my wife and daughter was driving a very busy road, the lights on the dash board begin to light up which caused her to pull into a parking lot. Thankfully she noticed the blinking lights on the dash otherwise my family could've been hurt pretty bad in a car accident. We had the vehicle towed to the dealership to find out days later that once again the pcm had died and need to be replaced at a cost of approximately $3,000. Ford states the recall that was issued in 2007 was completed on the vehicle, however after reading the numerous complaints online, there needs to be another recall issued before several deaths occur due to this serious issue. The cost of the pair is ridiculous along with the amount of time that's required to wait on the part, which is two weeks. I'm asking that NHTSA to please recall Ford's vehicles for this recurring issue and going forward require Ford motor company to at minimum check the coils on their vehicles around 75,000 miles for potential pcm issues, it could save several lives.

50 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 05/28/2010

The door opening mechinisim has broken multiple times (3 to date) in which the driver side door cannot be opened from the inside. This is a huge safety concern as if an accident did incur the driver would not be able to open the door. This car is 7 years old with 125k miles and it has broken 3 times. This needs to be recalled and a proper fix provided as it is due to faulty design and is a safety risk.

51 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2009

Inside door handles are made of plastic. And therefore they break. I have had three replaced at 250. 00 per replacement. When a car cost 30,000 dollars, and it is made of plastic on the parts that are used most often, and a paint that is pealing. The clear coat is flaking off and make a care look unkept. Not sure I will ever buy another Ford product. My husband has a 150 truck 2008 and I tit is holding up fine.
