I want to file a safety complaint against Ford car company for their vehicle in which I purchased which is a 2008 Ford Fusion sel for excessive and dangerous rot and rust problem on the frame and suspension and under component which can lead to accidents if one of these components fall apart . I purchased a 2008 Ford Fusion sel in connecticut which used to be a massachusetts state government vehicle before I've obtained it. It was well maintenance and had no flood damage. But just like a wide range of cars from Ford especially this model that I've purchased has a serious problem with excessive rust which make the car very dangerous to drive. Mind's speaking I've had to have framework done to my vehicle and change multiple suspension parts because of all the rust my transmission pan literally fell apart and all the oil came because it was so rusted. My stabilizer links and control arms have fell apart in which obstructs the steering which also caused a safety hazard for me and other people on the road. Ford has a duty to design their cars with a certain level of weather resistance. After doing research I found that there is a wide range of customers who's having the same having the same problems with this year make and model just like other vehicles that are made by Ford. All the problems that stated in this complaint having verified by ase certified mechanics that I've been working on my vehicle.
My breaks gave way for some odd reason I ran into a cable box trying to control or rather stop the vehicle.
1. Currently on my 2nd pcm and 4th set of coils and plugs. I was driving my car a few months ago and it started struggling to stay running and the engine light started flashing and after about 2 minutes the car completely shut down. Bought all new coils and plugs to find out that the pcm was just popping them. Replaced the pcm and coils and plugs and now my car is sitting due to the same problem with the pcm and coils. 2. About a year ago, I pulled into the gas station and when I got back into my car it wouldn't start. After days of mechanic work I was told that the wiring harness that powers the fuel pump were melted. Which could have very easily caught my car on fire while I was inside. 3. 6 months ago my power steering went out for the 1st time because of the bolt on the pully and happened again 3 months ago. How are these things not recalled!!?? I've seen a ton of complaints!.
Cracking and creaking underneath when temp outside is above about 70 degrees, very loud, possible struts, when turning wheel left or right also very loud creak or pop. I looked online and there are 100's of these issues reported. This has to be a recall, safety issue.
Takata recall hard to turn when in motion stern wheel do not set right.
I had my 2008 Ford Fusion se checked out due to the rear tires were going bald. I have put 6 tires on the rear til the bodyshop put it on a light and said there was a bend in my knuckle assembly and my lower rear passenger control arm was slightly bent. My steering wheel turns to the left while driving and the wheel are straight. My back to tires needless to say bow out, and I continuously buy tires because the parts and labor are over 1000. 00. Also the passenger airbag cover is loose and im afraid tht the airbag will pop while im driving.
Over time the vehicle developed gradually more slackness and free play in the steering response. I initially attributed the condition to tire wear and vehicle age. Eventually the condition became so serious that I was certain it was not normal, so I decided to try and diagnose the cause. Upon investigation I discovered that the steering rack assembly was moving around on its attachments in response to steering inputs. I checked the mounting bolts that secure the rack to the sub-frame and found that two of the bolts were loose enough to be turned by hand and the third was broken and was just sitting in the hole. If I had not intervened, the condition would almost certainly have progressed to the point that the steering rack completely detached from its mounts resulting in total loss of steering control.
