The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed the contact that they were aware that the oil dip stick assembly had failed due to the screws becoming loosened. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 114,000.
