It is now July 11, 2018 and I have not been able to have my car service due to no parts. Ihave been calling every week and I am told that the replacement parts have not been sent by Ford, call the head quarters. I just want my children and passengers to be safe in my car.

Takata recall. In January 2017 I received a recall notice from Ford stating that my 2012 Ford Fusion had a recall repair/replacement due. The part to be replaced was a takata inflator on the passenger side that could cause injury or death to the occupants. Repeated phone calls and visits from January through October 2017 to two of my local Ford dealers resulted in repeated denials of replacement due to "we don't have the parts" and "some time next year" (2018). It has now been 10 months that I have been driving a potentially lethal vehicle.

Takata recall. I received written notice from Ford in March 2017 that "frontal air bag inflator may rupture in the event of a crash necessitating air bag deployment. A ruptured inflator may result in metal fragments striking vehicle occupants causing serious injury or death. . . " I called Ford company today 10/31/17 (8 months after the initial notice which I took very seriously) and was told by the Ford representative that they have no date for when the parts for the remedy would be available. So Ford has told me that me and my wife could suffer serious injury or death in the event that the airbag is deployed and there is no timeframe for resolving this very serious deficiency. Please tell me what action is being taken to make Ford be more responsive.

Takata recall. I had received notice of my airbag inflator being recalled on January 10th, 2017. It is October 31st, 2017 and Ford is still unable to change out my inflator and make it safe to drive. Takata airbag inflators I received a recall notice dated 2/22/2017 for passenger airbag inflator replacement. I contacted my dealer, raceway Ford in riverside, CA and was told I would be contacted when parts were available. I received another letter March 2017 from Ford saying I would be contacted by Ford when parts are available for this recall. I continue to check with my dealership and as of 1/10/2018 they still said no replacement was available. It is not acceptable that I have not had the recall fixed or at least be given a time frame that it would be resolved. I have had no further letters from Ford and it has been almost a year driving a recalled vehicle!.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2012 Ford Fusion. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17v024000 (air bags) for the passenger frontal air bag inflator; however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (helman Ford located on 12220 southwest fwy, stafford, TX, 77477) and the contact was informed that the recall remedy was not available. The dealer was not sure when parts would become available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and stated that they did not know the resolution time frame. The contact was referred to NHTSA. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Ford motor company has notified me that the vehicle has a serious safety defect with the airbag system where the inflator may rupture resulting in metal fragments striking vehicle occupants causing serious injury or death. As this statement indicates the defect can cause life threatening injuries this defect makes the vehicle unsafe to drive as it puts the driver and passenger at risk of serious injury or death due to this known safety defect. Ford motor company representative state they do not have the part to make the necessary repairs to correct the serious life safety defect with the vehicle and do not know when they will have the parts. This is a know life threatening safety defect that places the occupants of the vehicle at risk of serious injury or death every time the vehicle is driven placing Ford motor company and the NHTSA criminally liable of any injuries and deaths that may occur due to their negligence in removing those vehicles from the roads and providing the owners a safe alternative until the manufacturers can produce the parts and make the necessary repairs to correct the serious life threatening safety defect in these vehicles.

Takata recall - in March 2017 I received written notice of safely recall notice 17s01. It stated: "when parts become available. . . Ford motor company will notify you via mail to schedule a service appointment with your dealer to have the passenger frontal airbag inflator replaced free of charge (parts and labor). . . " I have received no such notification. Today, approx. One year after the recall date, I checked this site and learned that the parts are still not available, and now takata has filed for bankruptcy. Yet I'm left driving a vehicle that is apparently unsafe. What should I do?.

"takata recall" I received a notice in (March 2017) that there was a defect for the "passenger frontal airbag inflator may rupture" and that there was not a fix for it at the current time. Here we are (February 2018) and still no notice of a fix. I currently driving my family around in this very dangerous vehicle that I believe after a years time has gone by there should be a fix for this problem or if Ford is not going to fix this problem they should let there customers aware of that fact.

They listed all the possible dangers if not replaced in a timely manner; yet I still have not been notified to have this problem resolved. I have contacted dealers on my own but they have no replacement part in stock. My daughter drives this car a lot, and I am very concerned that the longer we delay the more likely an accident can occur. Is there any other avenue for replacement??.

Takata inflators have 2012 Ford fuisn bot at hansel Ford santarosa CA. Power stearing went out and they charged me 800 dollars to fix . Then found out it was a recall is that legal ? now we have the air bag recall they keep beating around the bush saying don't have part to fix . Do I have to pay for this recall to have owned five Ford's in the past was a good customer really feel screwed by Ford always owned domestic cars think I'll go Toyota not a happy customer.
