I try make this complaint twice now an gives a error this is serious my car is being stalled on highway due to purge valve an today the car is making a noise from the gas tank from what I'm told my car turned off because of this purge valve me an my kids could have been hurt I'm not the only one who thinks this should have been investigated along time ago people have made complaints online about the same issue I'm having !! I just replaced my fuel pump at delearship not long ago now this issue ! do have video of the car making this noise from gas tank an alsocar is releasing a strong fume smell.
The steering wheel is getting stuck it feelslike which made me rin off road I also had to cut seat belt on back seat cause it wouldnt raise up. Also fuel pump is going out and this is not right.
While in motion and trying to come to a stop the abs light came on and brakes went completely to the floor and barely stopped the car. It's now stuck that way. Abs lights always on and brakes are spongy. Also fuel pump whines loudly while car was driving and car dies while driving down the road and now won't accelerate going uphill. This has happened on many occasions and now it stuck having no power uphill or when trying to accelerate.
Tl the contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion. While driving approximately 15 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. Also, every time the vehicle was fueled, it would not start. The contact stated that the fuel pump was replaced two years ago by lenoir city Ford (775 us-32, lenoir, TN 37771). The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or repaired again. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 96,000.
Tl-the contact 2013ford Fusion. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled when driving at 10 to 15 mph the vehicle rpm dropped and the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to put the vehicle in park and restart the engine. The contact also stated that when the fuel tank was filled the engine took a moment to start up. The manufacturer advised that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number 16v621000 (fuel pump malfunction may cause engine stall). The vehicle was taken to an unknow mechanic that performed a diagnostic that provided the recalled code. The vehicle was not repaired. The manfuacturer was contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000. Li.
My car and alot of other cars from the Ford Fusion model hase a known issue also a recall of the fuel pump. Error code p00c6. That makes the car stall out while driving. Almost caused an accident. I also put the issue on youtube and meny other people are having the same issue. This is clearly a recall.
My vehicle has been stalling out after fueling, as well as in heavy traffic, and at red lights. I took it to the shop, and the diagnostics indicating is was "low fuel pressure" reading, so they replaced the fuel pump. Two days later, I filled up with gas and it stalled out while in motion at 40 miles an hour, and within 15 minutes, it stalled again at the red light. I can feel the car beginning to stall, so I put it in park, so I can give it gas. . . Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. There have been many instances where I'm in the intersection, at a median, or in the middle of heavy traffic when the car will stall out. . . This is very concerning, and dangerous. . . My life as well as others could be in danger due to a faulty system.
I bought my Fusion 6 months ago, and here lately I have been experiencing stalling issues. It tends to happen when the vehicle has been running for a while. I will sit in my daughter's school parking lot to wait for her to get out when all of a sudden the engine shudders and stalls. And other times it happens when driving in the parking lot at low speed, again it shudders and dies. We have changed a couple parts(high fuel pressure sensor, fuel sending unit, and the high pressure fuel pump) nothing seems to be helping the issue.
We have had our 2103 Fusion now for 2 months. 1 week after having the car it began to make a humming noise around the gas tank area, then when you slowed down for a red light the car would stall and be hard to start back. Sent the car back to the dealership to only be told they couldn't find anything wrong. Once we received the car back we drove it for a couple of days and the car started making the noise again and would stall again. Called dealership and took car back again still nothing. Received car back and began to notice when we was fueling the car that the rpm gauge would go up and down and then the vehicle would quit and be very hard to start back. While driving the vehicle about 3 weeks ago it stalled again and would not start back, finally after about 30 mins of trying the car started. Sent car back to dealership again and they have had the car 3 weeks and they are saying they can not find anything wrong with the vehicle. I asked if they had put fuel in it like I advised they proceeded to tell me no. I advised them when they did to let me know what the car did. We no longer feel safe driving the car. I believe we either have a fuel pump issue or the vehicle is pulling air in from the fueling system and is causing it to air lock. The vehicle has quit about 12-15 times in the 2 months we have had it.
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that the fuel pump had low pressure. The vehicle constantly hesitated, the service engine warning indicator illuminated, and the vehicle stalled randomly several times. The manufacturer advised the contact to take the vehicle to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The approximate failure mileage was 87,000.
While driving north on I-25 with cruise control set at 75mph, suddenly the vehicle stop forward acceleration and instantly began decreasing speed. Immediately, I stepped on the accelerator to no available power. The engine refused to communication with the accelerator as the rpm would just increase but no actual power was given to the vehicle. I tried multiple times to get the vehicle to respond but eventually had to pull over because no power was available. Even after somehow avoid 3 lanes of constant traffic, I attempted to start driving again without shutting the vehicle down. During this point all that would still happen was the vehicle would rev the rpm's, but not propulsion was available. I had to shutdown the car completely on the highway shoulder in order to get the car to respond to any time of gas demands. I have heard about the throttle body issue many customers have been experiencing and believe I have the same issue. This is a huge safety concern because losing power while in cruise control at 75mph can lead to catastrophic results. I believe that this needs to be looked into because it causes immediate panic from the driver as they attempt to drive safely out of the traffic. This is the second time this has happened to me in this vehicle. The first time, Ford mechanics blamed the problem on the recalled fuel pump and replaced it. Since clearly that was not the remedy to this problem, I believe that more investigation should be done to understand the full scope of the immediate loss of power that myself and many other have experienced.
