. I have a 2014 Ford Fusion that has a total of eight safety recalls. I have only received one safety notice recall regarding the passenger front seatbelt from Ford motors. The notice did not state a timeline indicating when the issue would be resolve. I contact Ford motors to get a timeline and was advised by a representative that Ford is currently working on the recall and doesn't have any updates. I stated my disappointment and concerns with Ford motors. I also stress that my family safety is being compromise by riding in an unsafe car. She stated to me that Ford cannot help me with a hypothetical situation. Ford does not care about the safety of its drivers.

I got a safety recall from Ford in December 2016, recall issued novermber 2016. Still no parts available to fix my seat belt assembly. . . 9 months later.
Nothing happened with the vehicle as of yet, but nearly 12 months ago a recall was made on my car's seat belts saying they "may not adequately restrain passengers" and they have not yet provided a remedy for this. A year is way too long for something involving safety in a crash.

The recall was issued in 2016, it's been almost two years and I have received no documentation from Ford about this recall. I now have a recall on the steering wheel that increases the likelihood of a crash combined with seatbelts that might not adequately restrain me and/or passenger in the crash. Sounds like a pretty awful combo. The recall states that no fix is yet available, but it has been almost 2 years. Recall number is 16s42.

I have now had to replace my backseat seat belts 3 times, twice on the passenger backseat and once on the driver backseat. Mind you these are seat belts that do not get latched and unlatched several times a day like the driver seat, but these seat belts stay latched with a car seat so they should not be getting wore out so quick. Also these belts broke while the vehicle was stationary, no pressure on them. This is extremely scary for me especially since my two children ride in these seats daily and the seat belts broken with out any pressure. What is going to happen if I get rear ended by someone going 50 mph???? I contacted Ford and they only wanted to do 2 things: continue to replace the seat belts as the break. . . Really, next time it could be broke from a wreck!! the other option was to trade my car in. First off they did not offered me nowhere near what I would need, secondly and most important if I traded it in I can almost guarantee that they would turn around and sell it to someone else. I have had several vehicles from Ford heck my husband used to work there, but I was extremely surprised and disappointed in the lack of care or worry for my families safety in this matter.
The rear, middle seat belt locked while the seat was down, tensioning the belt beyond the point where the seat can be used. The belt cannot be loosened enough to allow the seat back to be lifted into the upright position and obviously cannot be used to restrain a passenger. Tension had to be released from the bottom securing bracket in order to lift the seat back so that a passenger can sit in the window seat. At that point the seat belt was locked with the seat up and the middle seat belt cannot be released to be used.

The failure mileage was 45,000.
The seat belt warning system will not activate once the car goes above 6 mph. I have handicapped son who accidentally unplugged his seat belt and I had not indication. No car I have ever owned functions like this regarding seat belt warning.

The driver side seat belt will retract and lock for no reason under normal driving conditions. Attempts to fix the problem while driving consists of removing the seat belt letting it retract all the way up then try to buckle it back in place. The last time about a week ago the remedy did not work, and the seat belt remained lock in the retracted position and would not release. This forced my wife to drive home without a seat belt.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the wiring underneath the seat was fractured and caused the air bag system to deactivate. The approximate failure mileage was 62,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
I was made aware of a recall involving the seatbelts on my 2014 Ford Fusion back in 2016. I've inquired multiple times about having it fixed and each time Ford has told me they don't have a fix. It has been 2 years now. I feel unsafe traveling in the car and having passengers ride in my car. It seems like 2 years is a long time to have a recall where your seatbelts could fail open this long without a remedy is frightening and irresponsible. I hope I am not involved in a car accident and they fail to restrain myself or someone else.
Inside the rear passenger side seat belt broke. A piece of plastic and spring came out, it was like it caught on something and just fell out. It happened while I was pulling the harness out of the latch. Very little pressure was on it when it broke. It appears to be a horribly bad design.

I just leased a 2014 Ford Fusion titanium and after driving a few days, I realized that the seat belt is always running on my neck (driver's neck) - no matter what adjustment is set for the driver's seat and / or for the seat belt fixture, the belt is always running over my neck and I don't feel safe with this driving condition. I took the vehicle to the dealer (tom holzer Ford in novi - mi) and the problem was acknowledge by the service manager - "this is the way the vehicle was designed and there is nothing that we can do about it" he said. I also contacted the Ford customer service (complaint # [xxx]), because I don't feel safe driving a vehicle with the seat belt on my neck, and Ford also told me that cannot do anything. Bottom-line: it seems that the Ford Fusion 2014 has a serious design problem in regards to the driver's seat belt positioning, that is creating an unsafe driving condition, and Ford is not doing anything about it.
