One day the car was fine, next morning went to start car and was greeted by multiple failure warnings - adaptive cruise control not available, service advancetrac, steering assist fault service required, and hill start assist not available. Efforts to restart without errors failed. Power steering lost and unable to turn the wheel without great effort. Parked car and towed to dealer, failure of electronic rack and pinion steering per the dealership at a cost of $2500 - $3000. Car donated to charity. Concern in submitting is a record of other recent failures of this year, make and model failing in much more dangerous situation than mine but appears that this part has reached its useful life without identification from Ford of the likelihood of failure on these older cars.
Transmission fluid leaks through the left side axel. When filled several times and changed the axel and the seal, it continued to leak. I checked it in with a transmission shop and they said to me that many Fusions have been leaking and they will try to change the pushing inside the cup.
Was driving at about 45mph on us highway 331 in freeport, FL on 9/17/25 and there was a lower control arm failure on the front passenger side of vehicle. Caused the vehicled to be inoperable. I was able to have someone pull me out of the way to not impeded trafic with the car in neutral but was unable to do much with it. It was late at night so I was unable to really access the damage. My wife had our insurance tow the vehicle to my home a few hours ago on 9/18/25 and it appears the lower control arm is gone, the axle has detatched from the wheel (axle still hanging from bottom of car), pretty bad damage to the inner wheel well, passenger fender, and minor damage to the front bumper and passenger side skirt. I had read there was a recall on this vehicle online and wanted to find out more about my options. The car has just shy of 100k miles and is a daily driver. So I am stuck in a bad potisition with this.

I went to have my car inspected and it passed but they gave me a form with 4 recalls I need to have repaired at no charge ASAP please.

One day while driving service advance trac and power steering failure warning come on and my steering wheel tighten up almost causing me to crash I took my vehicle to the shop and they told me that this oroblem happento a lot of Ford vehicles and that it would cost me 2600 dollars to fix I was in total disbelief because I can't afford that when reaching out to Ford they weren't any help as well they stated that being that I was out of my warranty there's nothing they can do I'm unable to drive my car now get my kids to school or even go to work because of this issue.
I have 24391 miles on my car and I was told I need new shocks in the rear of the vehicle. I have never replaced back shocks on a car with that little bit of mileage. This should be a recall now Ford wants me to pay 435. 00 for this really? first time I have owned a Ford. But will not be purchasing one ever again if I have to pay for new rear shocks.
Takata recall - as my husband was driving the vehicle specifically turning out of the gas station into the traffic, he was unable to control the steering wheel resulting in an accident.
Tl-takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Lexus es350. The contact received NHTSA campaign number: 16v340000 (air bags) frontal passenger inflator however, the parts to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
On 7/7/15 while on the 99 grand-parkway freeway my Ford Fusion suddenly started drifting and wasn't allowing me to turn back in the lane causing my car to spin out and lose control and crash into a barrier. Shortly after I filed a claim with my insurance and with Ford customer service on 7/11/15 claiming the power steering went out and a mechanical failure. Ford motor mentioned the general counsel would reach out in 15 business days and there were no current recalls on file. However, shortly after I filed that complaint Ford sent a vehicle recall regarding power steering corrosion (interesting timing). I have escalated multiple times to customer service and customer relations and still no luck or clarification of why I have not received a letter from general counsel.
Difficult to control at highway speeds; the car seems to wobble/over correct frequently. The car is difficult to keep between the lines when it encounters even minor bumps in the road. I've brought these concerns to Ford and have been met with highly antagonistic responses. Ford neglects to acknowledge the issue and told me they test drove the car and were unable to replicate the issue. I don't feel safe driving my new car on the highway. Please help!.
Raining: the highest speed setting was not fast enough to clear the windshield I was driving on the highway, city and had to pull over due to the high speed for the wiper is no different then being on low speed. Very dangerous. Definitely not enough to clear the windshield in moderate rain let alone when heavy rain will come. Front end: every time you turn the steering wheel I get a clunking noise and you can feel it in the gas pedal. This has been a ongoing problem.
