1 Brakes Failed problem

Failure Date: 07/13/2019

Antilock brake vacuum pump failed while driving on city street at 40-45 mph. Almost caused serious accident. Brake pump failure caused camshaft failure and a bearing to fall apart and put metal shavings into engine. Now engine, per dealership, will need to be replaced.

2 Brakes Failed problem

Failure Date: 03/13/2016

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. While driving down an incline at 55 mph, the brake pedal was depressed, but failed to respond without warning. Prior to the failure, an unknown sound emitted from the vehicle when the brake pedal was depressed. The contact's vehicle was stopped after it crashed into a guardrail. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed. The contact sustained bruises to the head and whiplash. The driver sustained bruises to the left shoulder. Both occupants required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the booster brake system failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure.
