Tl the contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. While driving 20 mph, the contact experienced a failure with the transmission cord and stated that the gears failed to engage. The contact pulled the vehicle over and had it towed home. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 18v167000 (steering) and 18v471000 (power train). The parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. Maplecrest Ford Lincoln (2800 springfield Ave, vauxhall, NJ 07088, (908) 964-7700) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 47,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

2 Transmission Not Engage problem

Failure Date: 08/15/2018

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. While the vehicle was parked and attempting to turn off the engine, the vehicle rolled away. The contact stated that the brake pedal was depressed, but failed to stop the vehicle. The emergency brake was engaged in order to stop the vehicle, but the gear shifter failed to engage in park. The vehicle was towed to don hinds Ford inc (12610 Ford dr, fishers, in 46038, (317) 849-9000) where the contact was made aware of NHTSA campaign number: 18v471000 (power train). The contact received notification of the recall, but the parts were not available to complete the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. 3 Transmission Not Engage problem

Failure Date: 08/04/2018

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. Upon parking and exiting the vehicle, it started to roll backwards until the brake pedal was depressed. After the failure, the vehicle failed to engage into any gear. In order to keep the vehicle from moving, the emergency brake had to be engaged. The contact also received a recall notification for NHTSA campaign number: 18v417000 (power train), but the dealer (mclarty daniel Ford, 2609 s walton boulevard, bentonville, ar 72712) was contacted and stated that the parts were not available for the recall repair. The failure was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 62,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
