My backup camera does not work any longer. I have had several near-misses of collisions with both cars and people. Please make the recall fix available!! on the date of incident field, I just put the last time it happened. There have been multiple dates.
1. System / component failed: the rearview camera system displays a blank, distorted, or black screen while the vehicle is in reverse, completely eliminating rearward visibility. 2. Safety risk: the loss of backup camera functionality directly impairs critical rearward visibility while reversing, significantly increasing the risk of a backover crash, striking pedestrians, or colliding with obstacles. 3. Manufacturer & dealer confirmation: this vehicle is affected by Ford safety recall campaign 25sa9 (NHTSA campaign 25v695). Local Ford dealership service departments and Ford corporate have been contacted, and both confirm that no remedy or repair parts are available to perform the recall service. 4. Failure details & unreasonable recall delay: the safety defect is active and reproducible every time the vehicle is placed in reverse. Although this recall was issued nearly one full year ago (October 2025), the manufacturer has failed to supply replacement parts or provide a timely remedy under federal recall standards. The safety feature remains entirely inoperative without a resolution date or estimate provided by the manufacturer.
We received the notice about this recall in October 2025, more than six months ago. In our estimation, this far exceeds the reasonable amount of time that should be allotted to a company before a fix needs to be available and completed. This is a serious safety issue, and we have almost been in accidents because of the lack of camera. Dealerships have brushed us off when we asked about the status of the recall, as though it was unimportant. Is there anything we can do light a fire under Ford, or to force them to provide a replacement vehicle for us? thank you,.
Transmission is constantly jerking when engine light is on. Driver assist back up reports to return to dealership and the front just doesn't work at all.
Backup camera works when car started up, but will go out after the vehicle has been on for serval minutes and will not work. Know recall on other later models of Ford 2020-2023 backup cameras.
Our camera cuts in and out. We took it to Ford initially to run a diagnostic but they killed our battery doing the test and never finished. Now the camera is showing things opposite. . Our mailbox is on our right backing out but camea shows left. Same when a car pulled to our right but camera showed left and caused us a scare. Completely unreliable. It cuts off/on constantly when using it to back out and sometimes doesn't beep.
