The contact owns a 2020 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle switched lanes on its own. The vehicle was steered to the side of the road. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the control module was telling the steering wheel to turn left when the vehicle was right and vice versa, and the control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 66,620.
