Tire pressure monitor system warning action now issue since 09-22-2024 the tire pressure monitoring system has detected one or more tires are significantly under-inflated. Suggested actions: check the tire pressure to ensure the tires are properly inflated. Warning: the tire pressure monitoring system is not a substitute for manually checking tire pressure. The tire pressure should be checked periodically (at least monthly) using a tire gauge. See inflating your tires in the wheels and tires chapter of your owner's guide. Failure to properly maintain your tire pressure could increase the risk of tire failure, loss of control, vehicle rollover and personal injury.
On hot days the forward collision will show as unavailable, but there is no notification saying when it will be available again. This is dangerous in that a safety feature on the vehicle is unavailable when it is hot outside and has been sitting in the sun. Outer door panel skins are becoming unattached from the door frame, which could cause an issue if the skin fails elsewhere that it would be totally unattached to the door frame and fall off when driving. The rear package tray trim (carpeted trim piece behind the rear seats covering the speakers) disintegrates when it is touched due to it being exposed to the sun. Discovered when attempting to clean inside of my rear window. This has caused black particulate to be scattered throughout the vehicles interior. They are small enough that you could be breathing them in as the debris has been found all over the dashboard, seats, infotainment console, and trim all around the car. This is a health hazard due to breathing in fabric/carpet particulate that can irritate the lungs. . Read more...
If the car is parked in directly sunlight and I start the car a "front camera temporarily unavailable" message will appear. It happens more when the outside temperature is warmer.
While driven collision sensor sudenly activated and locked my steeringweel, now vehicle is inoperative due to this issue, dealer is not repairing it while under warranty or not even making a estimate diagnosis.
This has been a constant since I purchased vehicle in may 2020. If the car is parked in directly sunlight and I return to the car after a "front camera temporarily unavailable" message will appear. The system works fine I have tested it very cautiously. It happens more when the outside temperature is 90 - 100 degrees. Living in California that means it happens more frequently than I like. Took it in to be checked in 2020 and was told to avoid parking in direct sunlight and that until enough complaints are filed nothing can be done. I took it in for an oil change today (09/24/2022 - 29,800 miles) with dealer and brought it up to service writer who told me he thinks the camera is faulty and may need to be replaced which is different from what I was told before. Glad there hasn't been any major incidents but having that message come up makes me second guess trusting it. And I think its ridiculous that I have to consider parking in shade in my still brand new vehicle. Hoping more complaints come in before I'm stuck with the bill to fix/replace which is what I believe Ford is hoping will happen. The first picture I will include is the first time this happened in July 2020 and 4k miles and the most recent this month.
