I am reporting a potential safety defect involving an evenflo revolve360 child restraint. Manufacturer: evenflo product: revolve360 model: cs360212464 manufactured: September 26, 2025 purchased: xxx from target the seat was used rear-facing by my [xxx] daughter, who weighs approximately 27 pounds. After only about four months of normal use, I discovered significant localized fraying/tearing of the harness webbing. I have photographs documenting the damage. The damage appears concentrated in a specific area of the harness webbing near where it passes through/contacts components of the seat. I do not see corresponding damage to the surrounding fabric, foam, plastic, metal structure, or other visible areas that would readily indicate an environmental cause. I contacted evenflo and provided photographs. Evenflo stated that the damage “appears to be related to external environmental factors” and that the components contacting the strap are smooth and rounded. However, evenflo did not identify what specific environmental factor caused the damage or what physical evidence supports that conclusion. Evenflo also advised that the seat could be used in booster mode if my child met the requirements. This is not an applicable solution because my daughter is only [xxx] old, [xxx] pounds, and still rear-facing. My concern is product safety: a critical harness component experienced substantial deterioration after approximately four months of use. I am requesting that NHTSA record this as a child-restraint safety complaint and evaluate whether this harness deterioration could represent a potential safety defect or pattern involving the revolve360. I can provide photographs, proof of purchase, product labels, evenflo correspondence, and the physical seat if needed.
