Driver side seat belt suddenly stopped working. Initially it was stuck and would not deploy. Eventually it released and was able to be drawn and buckled, but does not restrain passenger when tested manually; driver was not restrained when the car was braked quickly. Rom 35 mph to a full stop. There is a December 5, 2016 nhsta recall on front seat belts may not restrain occupants (nhsta campaign number 16v875000) and and a Ford recall number 16s42. Car was purchased from a Ford dealer in 2018-2019 as a used vehicle. Current dealer indicates it may cost from $400-1200 to replace the seat belt.

Rear passenger seat belt will not release lock/tension/broken. Will not allow rear occupants to buckle in. Safety issue. Seems to happen on most 2013+ Ford vehicles specifically trims like titanium with a 'inflatable belt" this issue should be recalled free of charge, it is a major safety issue not to be able to use a seatbelt. The best remedy would be inspect and replacement of broken components. Both occurred over 80k miles one being a truck (entirely different vehicle).
I was driving on a slushy road and it was snowing. I received a warning that the pre-collision assist was unavailable. Another light also lit up saying there was no traction. The car veered toward the concrete barrier next to me and I couldn't turn the wheel. The brakes also did not work. I slammed into the concrete barrier at about 55 mph and began spinning back across the interstate and stopped next to a guardrail. When I hit the concrete barrier, my seatbelt didn't catch and my whole body slid forward into the steering wheel, dashboard, and windshield. My face hit the windshield. The airbags never inflated.
The engine malfunctioned and faulty rear seat belt, it is not available for inspection because it started a fire that destroyed by car. The remains of the car is at a savage yard. We were put at risk because we were driving/riding in the car at the time it starting burning. We were able to pull the car over and park it in a gas station parking lot before it became fully engulfed in flames. I am reaching out to Ford. Since it was not an accident involved, the fire department inspected the vehicle and determine the fire started in the engine. Insurance representative has determined it is a total loss. There were no warning lamps or messages from the car. However, what caused us to detect something was wrong was the thick smoke started filling the car's cabin at which time we immediately pulled over. When we stopped the car, actual flames came from under the hoods towards the windshield of the car and we proceed to exit the car. My granddaughter in the back seat was having a hard time releasing herself from her seat belt.

When it gets warm outside, the seatbelt on the driver's side freezes in the resting position, so I cannot buckle up before I drive. It takes a while before I can use the buckle. This means I either drive unsafely to a meeting or wait for the inside of the car to cool down enough to buckle up to drive. I have let Ford know (case number: cxh-02550071-n4s4m4).

The seat belts are fraying at the stitching and the female end sometimes doesn’t want to let you put seat belts in or after there in they pop out for no reason.
After the car has been sitting in the sun with the sun shining on the drivers side door, on a warm day, the seatbelt on the driver side cannot not be extracted until the car cools down. This has happened several times. I have talked to the dealer and he says that he has not seen this problem before. I have googled the issue and it appears that I am not the only one who has had this problem. I’ve had to drive several times without using my seatbelt as I cannot use the seatbelt.

The contacted stated the seat belt remained locked and could not be removed from the base. The contact became aware of a failure with the hardware body of the seat belt after inspecting the vehicle. The contact was concerned that the middle seat belt section of the vehicle posed a safety hazard for his children. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact to call the manufacturer for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the nshta hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 136,179.

The right rear passenger seat belt to my 2015 Ford Fusion stopped functioning several months ago. The strap that goes over the passenger's shoulder is stuck for reasons I am able to determine.
The accessory power interface module has failed. It receives inputs from a variety of sensors, some hardwired directly to it, while most are sent over the bus communications system from the powertrain control module (pcm). These inputs allow the module to communicate with the steering wheel controls, the radio, navigation system and the consumer's personal cell phone via bluetooth. When I contacted Ford they said there was nothing they were able to do because there is no active recall for this model/year. I strongly feel as if this is a safety hazard due to not only my steering wheel controls being inoperable, but my cruise control, hvac system, and navigation system, rear camera system, audio system, bluetooth, to be faulty and not work. Additionally the on the driver seat the part that the seat belt clicks into broke.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that on several occasions when the vehicle was started and the seat belt was connected, the air bag warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the seat belt sensor needed to be replaced due to failure in detecting that the seat belt had been inserted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.
The airbags lights showing it is off and not functioning.
The drivers seatbelt is stuck and will not release to allow me to buckle myself in.
Seatbelt failed during collision did not lock fully extended and did not retract brakes did not engage right away.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while parked, upon starting the vehicle, all the warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact noticed later that the airbag warning light stayed illuminated; the light has since gone out on its own. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed failure with the front passenger side seat belt. The vehicle was not repaired due to the contact declining service because she previously had the dealer replace the seat position sensor. The manufacturer was notified and advised the contact to contact NHTSA; a case was not opened. The failure mileage was 41,690.
On may 15, 2023 I got in my car, proceeded to drive off when I noticed that the airbag light was still illuminated on the instrument panel. I notified the dealership the next day and dropped my car off on may 17, 2023. On may 19 a diagnostics test was run and revealed that I had a faulty seat belt buckle. I declined service on the car. This was shocking to me since I took my car to them less than 4000 miles and less than a year ago for the airbag light staying on again in 2022. At that time it was revealed that it was the passenger seat position sensor & it was repaired. In 2020 my car was also a part of recall 19s25 for the seat belt. In 2018 repairs were also done on my car due to the airbag light coming on as well. I'm driving the car but now don't know if it is safe to drive. When I picked up the car, the light was still on but about 4-5 days later the light went off by itself. The passenger seat has barely been used since I purchased the car in 2015. After the repairs were done in 2022, the seat/seat belt has not been used so I don't understand how it can be faulty. It seems to me that there's a defect somewhere and it should be investigated. I would appreciate if this is given serious consideration. When I spoke with Ford motor company, they told me to contact you to have you investigate the matter. I am working with the customer relations rep with Ford of franklin- ms. Lauren distephano at 931-538-0339 regarding this matter.
On or about January 2023, I noticed the airbag light come on my vehicle's dashboard. I didn't notice anything else that may have suggested what was wrong or what caused the light to come on. On February 6, 2023, I took the car to a Ford dealership to be inspected (the car had less than 60,000 miles and was about 6 years old at the time). After an inspection, I was told that the "restraint control module" (rcm) had failed and that the part I needed was on national backorder. I asked the sales person if this meant that my airbags wouldn't deploy in an accident. His answer was unclear, and he said that "the airbags would at least not deploy unintentionally". On may 6, 2023, I was involved in an accident and the airbags did not deploy. I am unsure if there was enough force during the accident that would have caused the airbags to deploy, or whether they should have deployed but did not due to the bad rcm component. Today, may 17, 2023, my car is currently being repaired at an auto body shop. I called Ford's customer service because I am concerned about driving with potentially non-working airbags. I was told that the part I need (hs7z14b321h) is still on national backorder and may take at least two more months to be back in stock. Ford recommended filing a report with NHTSA. I feel that the car is not safe to drive and I am concerned for the safety of myself and passengers. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or recommend any solutions to resolve this situation. Thank you for your time.

Front driver and passenger seat belts do not lock or retract. Mine and my children life are at risk because it’s a safety issue, and requirement to have a seatbelt worn while driving but as well having a proper working seatbelt. Yes, the car is currently at the dealer now which confirmed it does not work properly. No warning lights came on to let me know that the seat belt was malfunctioning.
Airbag sensor is on. Took to mechanic and the wire that runs thru latch has broken apart. Need to replace latch as well as wiring.
One of the rear seat belts will lock and not release. After you unlatch it, it doesn’t retract properly. I feel this is unsafe and should be fixed by the manufacturer.
When the car interior gets very hot, the driver's seat belt tensioner refuses to disengage, preventing the driver from fastening his seat belt. This has occurred several times, over several summers; this was not just a one-time occurrence.
The passenger seat belt is hard to buckle it gets stuck making it hard to even buckle up. And the shifter bushing broke had to use the key in the override shift to get it to shift so I could get it home, my father is the one who found the issue. We will be taking it in to the Ford dealership to be looked at and to get fixed. The shift sys fault service required light did come on prior to it not shifting into gear.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the driver’s side seat belt has seized. The contact stated that the seat belt was inoperable. The engine coolant continually needs to be refilled, and has resulted in the car overheating multiple times. I have had the coolant system checked multiple times for leaks and they say that the pressure test doesn't show any leaking. I have had to pull over on the side of the highway twice since I've had the car to wait for it to cool down to put coolant in, which I now have to carry in the trunk because it happens so often. I don't know if the engine is just running hotter than it should and causing this but I would like to know if this has been a problem with other Fusions because its become a big safety issue when I have to pull off the highway to fix the car. Also, I don't know if this has been a problem with other Fords but the seatbelt constantly locks while trying to put it on whether the car is on or off.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. The contact while attempting to came to a complete , the contact stated felt a boeing feeling coming for the brake panel before coming to a complete stop. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was not able to be determined. On a separate occasion, the contact stated that while driving 30 mph and her child was saying his seat beat in the rear passenger side was tight on him, the contact pulled over and pulled and attempting to pull the seat beat loosen the seat belt but it would not loosen up. The contact shut off the vehicle so the seat beat to loosen but it still would not loosen. The contact had to cut the seat beat to unstrap her child. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that there were no recalls on the rear seat belt. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was approx. 80,000.
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving 40 mph, the vehicle started overheating with the high engine temperature warning light illuminated. The contact was able to pull over and waited until the vehicle cooled down. The vehicle was restarted and operated normally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the manufacturer would be notified. The vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the coolant sensor needed to be replaced due to dtc: p1299 that was retrieved. An independent mechanic replaced the coolant sensor, but the failure persisted. On another occasion, the contact stated that while attempting to remove the seat belt from her child, the seat belt would not release. The contact had to remove the bolts from the retractor to remove the seat belt. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 105,000.
Seatbelt and airbag lights won’t go off, constantly dinging. Code reader says there’s an issue with my restraint system.
Driver front seat belt locks into position making it difficult to pull out. It also gets locked once the seatbelt is in place. This is an ongoing problem and happens whether the vehicle is on or off.
Rear seat seatbelt locks up when the seat is moved down and won’t retract and only gets tighter when it gets pushed back up. Tightens on passengers in back seat at times. Has been taken to a dealership. Contacted other people who own Fusions of the same year and they have similar issues.
I was in my neighborhood heading to the store at the top the street I heard something like a clunky noise sounded like something fell out the bottom then it stopped immediately after no light or anything on to make me think of any issue with my car it started leaking like something broke kind of a burning smell then it wouldn’t move it would come on shift gears but not move at all it’s now been at Ford since last week they are trying to find the problem I guess seems to me like it’s part of the recall with torque converter they left me a voicemail saying it was a lot of metal and maybe the engine not sure.
Passenger side rear seat seat belt will not retract.
