Traction Control System problem

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The contact stated while driving at approximately 20 mph, the "check brake system" message was displayed on the instrument panel and the brakes failed to engage while the brake pedal was depressed. The contact stated that upon depressing the brake pedal to the floorboard, the vehicle responded as needed. The abs and traction control warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.
