Brake Light On problems of the 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid

Red dash light showed brake problem. Brakes failed entirely. Travewling on street less than 10 mph. Car was towed tp dealer. A module was replaced. Two weeks later red abs brake light went on, brake pedal went to floor to stop. Traveling on city street less than 10 mph. Car was towed to dealer.

Brake failure. . Ford fusion a. B. S. . . I was exiting a parking lot at approximately 20mph for a right hand turn at a stop sign. As I approached the stop sign, I went to slow down and stop, and the brake pedal went all the way to the floor- the car did not slow or stop. I grabbed the emergency brake and pulled it up, and the car still did not slow or stop. I went beyond the stop sign and rolled into a city street. There was oncoming traffic so I accelerated to be ahead of the approaching traffic. I very slowly drove the 1 mile to my home. The abs light, brake light, and check engine light were all on. The vehicle was towed to a Ford dealer. The brakes checked out ok, however, the a. B. S. System failed. The a. B. S. Module and a. B. S. Control were faulty. The same model parts replaced the faulty parts!!! when will the brakes fail again?? only 63,000 miles on the vehicle. The Ford service advisor stated, "the brake failure was due to nothing you did". This was a very frightening experience and thank heavens I was not driving faster or on a freeway. I know of 2 other people that have had similar experiences (brakes to the floor and not stopping) with Ford fusion brake failure. I have encouraged both to report to the NHTSA, however both are fleet cars and they are not the owners.

After filling up my tank, I proceeded to exit out of a quiktrip parking lot, back onto the street, when my brakes failed to stop the car. Luckily enough, this did not cause an accident and I was able to pull the car over in a nearby parking lot. After pulling over the service advancetrac light came on, in addition to the check brake system light. I checked the fluids, which all seemed to be fine. However, the brakes would not stop the vehicle unless pressed completely to the floor. This drastically affected the stop time which would definitely lead to an increased risk of an accident. I ended up having to get the vehicle towed as I did not want to risk driving it home.

Brake warning lights came on and total loss of brakes. This has happened twice in two weeks. Has been to a Ford dealer to have the problem looked at they found nothing, told me to drive the car and if it happens again they would put the car on an electronic tester. The problem did show up again on October 26,2014,I will be taking the car back to the Ford dealer.
