I happened to be driving at the time of the incident, when my car began to run hot. I saw there was a recall on the part that was causing the car to run hot but when I brought it to the dealer attention they didn't have recall information for my vehicle but for others vehicles, also since they claim to not have recall on just mines they also didn't have means to providing a part for me to purchase but told me to look in junkyard. I recently was at the dealership two months before the incident for almost a total of eight recalls that needed to be done they fixed them and I was happy but the next day comes around and the information light comes on saying see dealer so I went back and they wanted to charge me for something they just examined. I just want to be safe in my car again or just take car off market please to much going on as far as recalls for this model Ford fusion titanium 14 energi.
My 2014 Ford fusion had motor mounts go out on it, I'm being told that it is not covered under my manufacturer warranty. I'm not exactly sure how that is not covered. I've had nothing but problems with this car it's been to the dealer probably about 53 of the five times it's been in for the cross traffic s I'm not exactly sure how that is not covered. I've had nothing but problems with this car it's been to the dealer probably about 53 of the five times it's been in for the cross traffic sensor malfunction and yet again it still is showing malfunction I am so close to filing a lemon law on this vehicle it's a 2014 with 60,000 miles and I can't even trust it to get me to and from work anymore. Worst purchase of my life. Back to the motor mounts I was leaving work put the car in reverse and when I was backing up I felt a major vibration I got out and checked everything started rocking the car back-and-forth by hand and realize the engine was moving abruptly took it to the dealer where I was told it is not covered by my warranty and I will have to pay approximately $395 and cover my own rental car it just doesn't seem fair, also had to pay to have a new steering wheel and but put on before the recall came out, and was told I can't get reimbursed because it was 6 months before the recall was issued.
I was driving 25mph on a neighborhood road when I slowed down to go over a speed bump. After going over the bump, I went to accelerate and the car felt as if it had choked and lost all power. Within 30 seconds a warning on my dash asked me to pull over safely now. After finding a safe place to pull over, I remained in my car. The battery life continued to run down until it was dead and the motor never kicked on to recharge it. It turned itself off and 30 minutes later I tried to restart my vehicle. It turned on, attempted to turn on its motor since it could not idle on its dead battery, and the cars warning signs came on then died again. There is no explanation for this malfunction and the recalls made are not relevant to the issue occurring. I just bought the car 8 weeks ago and it has less than 30,000 miles on it. This is a serious problem.
Vehicle was on cruise control (65 mph), tapped brakes to slow around a curve, vehicle lost power(curve left ). No indicator lights came on, coasted to stop on shoulder. Turned off ignition. Restarted vehicle, resumed trip.
Car had previously lost full power and brakes in April, incident repeated itself this time 5500 miles later while at freeway speeds. Car lost power brakes and steering, was able to cost to a stop. After stopping car locked itself in park and engaged the parking brake, making towing very difficult. After numerous restarts error lights disappeared and the car drove fine and was able to be moved out of traffic. After stopping car locked itself in park again and would no longer function. Dealer has no idea how to fix this issue, had this occurred with high traffic it would have resulted in a crash. Ford was contacted to attempt buy back program.
