The contact stated that the failure existed and that the tires had to be replaced four times. The tire dealer stated that the contact needed to bring in a new set of lug nuts to replace the defective set when the tires were replaced. Felix sabates Ford (7601 south blvd, charlotte, nc 28273, (704) 552-2760) stated that the lug nuts had a cap that was welded on the top lug nuts themselves that was swollen causing the defect. The manufacturer was contacted and provided the contact a case number. The failure mileage was 61,000.
