8 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 09/08/2018

I lost power while on the freeway to about 40 mph from 65 mph, many indicators flashed: "see manual", "pre-collision assist not available", "service advance track", "downhill assist not available", the check engine light was on as well as the airbag light, I got off the freeway, turned the car off then on again, looked to see if for some reason it was in "l". I ended up getting to my destination, it sat for 2 hours then I started the car again, (because the tow truck was taking too long) and it seemed fine. I drove it short distances the next day, it was still fine (ck engine light still on btw) but after going 20 miles it did it again! low power, lots of different indications of errors. I also noticed the engine seem to stay at a high rpm at a stop light, prior to this it seemed like it wasn't shifting like it should. (it was taking too long to downshift, not sure if it is because I was driving my other powerful and loud car recently). At the dealer they said it was the abs relay and needed to be replaced. I have had the car for almost 3 months, it is a 2017 and it was certified used at the Ford dealership. They are re-calibrating the other relays/switches and the abs is still creating a problem. They are replacing it which is good because I wouldn't feel safe if it wasn't going to be replaced.

9 Power Train problem

Auto shuts down while driving,no power. . Must stop, shut off ignition and restart the engine. . . Car seems to revert to normal after turning back on. Has occured many times. . Local Ford dealer is aware of problem and has installed a counter. . The counter clocks up when this occurs but resets when car is stopped and restarted. . . This is a potentially dangerous problem as this has happened in traffic and driver has no power, must pull out of traffic, restart and go again. . .

10 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 07/23/2017

We have brought Ford in for the 5th time due to the car not powering up. Most recently, the car appeared to have power issues and it put itself into reverse while we were driving. We then lost all power. This created a very hazardous situation. Ford is aware of the issue.
