The contact owns a 2018 Ford fusion energi. The contact stated that the hold voltage battery had decreased to 13–15 miles on a full charge when previously averaging 22–23 miles. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was related to customer satisfaction program: 24n19. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and transferred the contact to the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

2 12v/24v/48v Battery problem

Failure Date: 02/09/2024

The contact owns a 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The contact stated that upon attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was jumpstarted. After jumpstarting the vehicle, the vehicle performed normally. However, the contact stated that the battery failure became a regular failure. The low battery warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 82,000.
