Automatic Transmission Control Module problem #1

The contact owns a 2019 Ford fusion. The contact stated that one day, while driving at various speeds and on more than one occasion, the vehicle's interior lights would all illuminate unintentionally and the vehicle would lose power shortly after. The contact would have to turn off the vehicle and then restart to regain power and proper function. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who diagnosed that the power control module, pcm, failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired due to the parts being on national backorder. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case regarding the matter. The approximate failure mileage was 56,000.

Power Train problem #2

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact heard a rattling sound coming from the transmission. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline for further assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 105,254.
