Gasoline Fuel System Problems of Ford Fusion Hybrid

The contact's granddaughter owned a 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The contact stated that while her granddaughter was driving at an undisclosed speed, the driver looked in the rearview mirror and noticed that there was black smoke coming from the rear seats of the vehicle. The contact stated that the driver's sons were in car seats in the rear seats of the vehicle. The driver immediately pulled over to the side of the road, exited the vehicle, and took her sons out of the vehicle. The contact stated that the entire vehicle then caught on fire. The contact stated that the driver's side of the vehicle was more burned than the rest of the vehicle. The fire was extinguished by the fire department, who informed the contact's granddaughter that the fire might have originated from the trunk of the vehicle. It was unknown whether a police report or a fire department report was filed. The contact stated that the vehicle was towed and could be totaled. The driver's mother transported the driver and her sons to the emergency room due to smoke inhalation. It was unknown whether injuries were sustained. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

After leaving work and driving for approximately 5 minutes, the car experienced the failure. It was sunny outside and warm. The climate control system was not in use. While driving in ev mode, the car dropped its speed from 25 mpg to 2mph. I was in traffic and had to drive 2 blocks until I could pull over. The car display flashed electrical system failure. The car display and all interior lighted went dark. The car did not switch to the gas engine and the gas engine did not turn on. The car was towed to the dealer. The dealer found 50 error codes on the car. A few days after receiving the car back from the dealer, I was driving in ev mode in a parking lot. While driving the car bucked and switched into gas engine mode. The display light on the instrument cluster turned yellow and the car took itself out of ev mode.

When I am on major highway doing speed limit all the sudden the car acts like it wants to stall a yellow wrench symbol comes on very scary happens quit frequently lately. I googled this problem and it seems quite a few owners have the same situation I am reading its a bad throttle body am having it serviced to see if that is the case sure does sound like it. I looked for a recall for it but seems there is none and that's not so good. I love this car but don't want to have to hock my house to pay for repairs or get hurt because of a limp home notice or worse be rear ended. Please let me know of any recalls so I can get this fixed.
