Told by tim short Ford dealership they could not rotate tires because of swollen lug nuts on 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid. Ford does not replace defected lug nuts unless I pay. If I get a flat on the road I will be stranded. In the right place it can be life threating if you have an emergence.

My dash warning lights for the brake system, advanced traction control, brake failure, and check engine light came on all of a sudden and my brake pedal went straight to the floor when I was coming to a stop. . . Almost causing an accident. My brake pads and rotors are all in good shape. My tires are in great shape as well. There was no warning before the pedal went straight to the floor.

The rims and michelin energy savers tires are unsafe; twice I have to replace due to simple issues such as bumping sliding over the median at slow speed and backing up, to get off from it. The low profile and skinny walls, no spare for hybrid, are unsafe!.

Tpms system fault comes up shortly after key fobs stop working took vehicle to a for dealer for service all they can say is that is the rtm module but they cant be to sure on what it is seem like they dont know whats going on this has happen at two Ford dealers already, research was done and it seem that Ford had this issue with Lincoln mkx.

The car's chrome lug nuts are actually chrome caps over the steel lug nuts and they were all swollen up to the point two tire shops could not take them off without damaging them in autumn of 2017. On January 29, 2018 I bought 20 one piece chrome lug nuts from the auto zone store for $60. 90 as dewey Ford said Ford does not have one piece available, then wrote Ford motor CO. A letter asking for reimbursement. I also told them I had already replaced eight capped nuts on 7/29/2016. Ford denied payment claiming it to be a maintenance item. I paid $34. 24 for replacement capped nuts which I did not make a monetary claim in the letter but I do want them to pay me back for those also. I am claiming Ford knew the capped nuts are an ongoing problem and I need to be paid $95. 14. I do have the bad lug nuts which they or you may examine if wished to do.

Had to replace front wheel bearings 1000+ after only 80,000 miles. Additionally, had to replace a speaker for the back up system. What kind of idiots are they. Safety issue: I also to have throttle body work done 2 years ago and the last 10 days, 31 July to 9 Aug, have had 6 episodes of the wrench light coming on with two of them resulting in sudden deceleration on the freeway.

Driving on concrete highway at 72 mph. Heard a rumbling sound like a nearby motorcycle coming from the right rear. Car is front wheel drive. Disengaged the cruise control, slowed and pulled to the shoulder. Discovered that the entire tire carcass had come off. Only the sidewalls were still attached to the wheel. Tire had about 10,000 miles on it and was probably at 32 psi cold. Goodyear eagle ls2, 235/45r18 94v.

I was at my dealership to have my tires rotated and they stated that they had difficulty getting my lug nuts off. They stated that my lug nuts "were swullen". I have been driving for over 50 years and never heard of this before. They said that I need to buy new ones at a cost of $75-$100. I was very upset with this and left. I looked this problem up on the internet and see that hundreds of people have had the same problem. It seems that Ford had a cheaper lug nut produced with the nut being covered with a cheaper material used to make the cap that covers the nut. Moisture gets in between the two metals causing condensation and " swelling". I now have covers actually falling off the nut. My question why, if there are so many problems that have been reported, why hasn't the problem been resolved/ recalled? why hasn't the NHTSA gotten involved? we do pay taxes for gov. Agencies to oversee safety issues such as this. Or better yet, why hasn't Ford stepped up and taken care of this problem? I am thinking of buying a chevy now. They don't have "swullen" lug nuts.

Driving on I-93n and started to hear a vibrating and humming from the front end. It got worse and worse and pulled into rest area to discover that 3 of 5 lug nuts on the drivers side front were loose to the point that they were only a few turns from completely being removed. Tightened lugs manually and went on my way but that was an eye opener!.

Driving to work when all of a sudden it became incredibly difficult to steer and control car. I was veering at first to the left then to the right. I tried not to hit the person on my right and slammed on the brakes, which caused me to fishtail and hit the guy anyway. My rear driver's side tire was completely gone-only a rim remained. This car has barely 800 miles on it. . . . Scary and sad for the guy I hit. . . Me-completely spooked and very disappointed albeit grateful to be alive and not run over by oncoming traffic. . . :(.

Rear tires have experienced uneven wear patterns indicative of severe toe-in condition through 3 sets of tires. Condition is evident only on rear tires, both left and right.

These low profile tires and rims are terrible. I barely have 35,000 miles on this vehicle and I've had to replace 3 tires due to hitting a pothole or roadwork. It can't withstand regular ware and tear! this vehicle has cost me more money and time wasted from all the recalls, the lifting of the windshield and paint lifting off the front hood.

Wheels have cracks radiating from the lug bolt holes on three of the four wheels. Visible on back side only. Each time the tires are rotated by costco, more cracks are appearing. First noticed in January 2013 tire rotation. Correct torque is applied according to costo technician at 100 ftlb according to specifications. Rims appear to be aluminum.
