Hood Latch problems of the 1998 Ford Mustang

1 Hood Latch problem

Hood latch failed causing windshield to be badly damaged and a small crash.

2 Hood Latch problem

Failure Date: 12/23/2001

My daughter was driving west on I-64 near evansville, in when the top half of the hood separated from the bottom and flew off of the car. Body shop and ins. Said that it was a defected hood, it looks as if the front section was never sealed properly. This could have been dangerous if the hood had not blown up and away from the car.

3 Hood Latch problem

Failure Date: 03/20/2001

While driving the hood began to come up about 1 inch, the hood is bolted on but the bolts dont seem to keep it stable during high speed. Nlm.
