Tire Sidewall problems of the 1998 Ford Mustang

Road hugger rage tires, mfg. By kelly springfield, size 245/45/17, have developed substantial circumferential sidewall cracks on low mileage, high tread tires. Same cracks present in 3 of the 4 tires on the vehicle. This is the same as described in recall 98t002 on similar tires by same mfg. Contacted kelly springfield customer service and they refused to replace tires. Later failure of one tire resulted in low-speed accident.

Eagle zr 45, size 245 45 zr17,dot m68rf62r267, original equipment on a 1998, Ford, Mustang . While vehicle was parked a large bubble on front passenger tire exploded. The slight wvings around the tire was noticed, one shows some small cracks developing and the tire popped while parked.

Sidewall blowout on turnpike. Tires were checked previous week by another Ford dealer during oil change service, ok. Other tires have performed normally since incident. Sent tire to michelin, denies claim, said was punctured causing runflat. Blow-out was inside to outside. Failure in workmanship or material. Damaged tire, rim (wheel), and strut. (dot number: bet4hr1068 tiresize: p22555h16).

Passenger side rear tire sidewall split all the wayaround( dot number: 00000 tire size: 16 ).

Tire outer side wall split all the way around.
