Five problems related to side/window air bag have been reported for the 1999 Ford Mustang. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving 5-10 mph and without warning both passenger and drivers side airbags deployed, resulting in major damage to vehicle, and minor injuries to occupants. When the air bags deployed the consumer lost control of the vehicle and ran over a curb, caused damage on the windshield, the steering wheel and passenger side dash board.
When vehicle was involved in a head-on collision, there was no deployment of the driver's side or passenger's side air bags. Vehicle was traveling about 30 mph. Most likely the vehicle will totalled. Please provide any further information.
While driving at 80 mph making a left turn, vehicle kept going straight down the road. Consumer applied brakes, and the side of vehicle hit a ditch. Vehicle skidded across the road, and then vehicle hit a tree, and went back into the ditch. Driver's and passenger's side air bags didn't deploy.
Vehicle was in a head-on collision with another vehicle at 40 mph, and neither driver's side nor passenger's side airbags deployed. Dealer has not seen vehicle, it has been totaled.
Vehicle was involved in 60 mph frontal collision in which driver's air bag did not deploy, cause has not been determined. Please give any further details.
