1 Starter problem

Failure Date: 12/14/2011

During rain, the entire electrical system shut down. Radio, windows, headlights, taillights, turn signals, hazards, door locks, keyfob, fuel gauge, oil pressure, coolant temperature gauge, hand brake indicator, traction control system, brake switch (for taking car out of park), starter (once the car is turned off, it will not start again). Any substantial rain results in water pooling in passenger side foot area, and saturation of fuse box area, which provides concerns for a vehicle-wide loss of electrical power and brake/steering control. I have looked at several online owners' forums and there are numerous cases of this commonly-documented safety problem. I have had the vehicle in for this exact issue before and the problem could not be located (or reproduced)during rain, the entire electrical system shut down.
