I have receive numerous "re call" letters from "Ford'. I finally made time to take my car in to my local dealer ,because my recall was about my airbags. Little did I know that my local dealer was gonna break my dash to where now I cant park outside because when it rains , my car gets soaked from the broken dash. I tried taking it back and all they said was that they were gonna check it but that they didnt do anything to it. After sitting all day outside my local dealer they have the nerve to charge me $$$$ for checking it. Which by the way they said they couldnt replace my recall. Now every time I receive these letters makes me believe that is a scam from my local deal( Ford). Please tell me where do you have honest people (Ford company ) that I can take this recall to?.

6 Body problem

Failure Date: 11/30/2014

My son-in-law bought a used Mustang convertible for his son. I had the car inspected and fluids changed as soon as I could and during the time on the rack, it was noticed that the frame stiffeners on both side showed severe rust to the point one was rusted completely through. The stiffener has an opening in the front that accumulates water, salt and road slop over time, but no method to let this member flush itself or be cleaned on the inside. The shop installed two new stiffeners with the same problem, but they closed the front opening entrance to the stiffener with a sealant and gave the bare metal exterior two coats of corrosion resistant paint.

11 Body problem

Failure Date: 06/24/2013

My 2006 Ford Mustang gt had only 14,000 miles on it when I noticed while hand washing my Mustang the hood had bubbles in the paint. The aluminum hood was showing signs of corrosion. My Mustang is in mint condition (other than the corrosion of the hood). My Mustang has less than 20k original miles, lives in the garage at home and at work. I still have the original tires on the car, and holding the Mustang to be a classic; without a corroded hood! I contacted Ford motor company and told them my story. They (customer services) told me they had no complaints and no knowledge of this issue and could not help me, since my Mustang was way under the miles limit, but over the years. I asked for corporate and was denied the contact information. I did some research and later found out that Ford motor company out and out bold faced lied. They at that time were being sued, "March 15, 2013 nytimes - judge allows suit over aluminum corrosion in Fords to move forward. " google, "Ford Mustang hood bubble or corrosion" you pull up many complaints. Google, "lawsuit against Ford Mustang hood", you pull up many complaints. . Read more...

13 Body problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2012

I wish to file a complaint for a 2006 Ford Mustang gt that I own. I started to smell a musty odor around Nov 2012. Shortly afterward, I noticed a significant water leak on the passenger side floor. I brought the car to a Ford dealership that went through the testing process to confirm there is a TSB relevant to my car. It cost me $146. 00 to find TSB 08-26-7 applied to my vehicle. Further research revealed this history of water leaking has caused electrical problems on some cars in addition to the issues I experienced. It appears the TSB requires replacement of existing non wear parts with newly designed parts suggesting this is a manufacturer’s design related issue. The repair cost me $716. 00 in total. I have great difficulty paying this to correct a design related defect which made my car unfit for use due to water leaking near the electrical box, a mold smell and one driver being an asthmatic. I asked Ford for relief with my expenses. My request was denied. I am of the opinion a recall is appropriate and request an investigation.

14 Body problem

Failure Date: 06/25/2012

Corrosion on hood in several places that continues to rapidly deteriorate. After research, located TSB put out by Ford indicating the corrosion is as a result of iron contamination in aluminum prior to painting which clearly states that this is a manufacturer defect. Ford has refused to fix the issue even though it is clearly a negligence on the part of their manufacturing.

15 Body problem

Failure Date: 11/11/2011

The paint on the front lip of the hood is bubbling. This will reduce its future value.

16 Body problem

Failure Date: 09/09/2011

Whenever I get heavy rainfall or take my car to a car wash I experience the unpleasant situation of having my passenger side front of the vehicle fill up with water. The first time it happened I attributed it to a freak thing. The next few times I started doing alittle internet research and found alot of other people have the same thing. I have gone back to the dealer and contacted Ford motor company direct and still have no resolution to this problem. I feel that with so many people having this issue , Ford should step up to the plate and fix this problem. I spent alot of money for the "car of my dreams" and now have to shop vac water out of it and ride around with the rug foled over to dry out the metal and rug underneath. My friend who also owns a 2005 Mustang has to ride around with a pot on his floor to catch the water as it flows in! this is a disgrace as well as a health hazard from breathing in the mold fumes that the wet rug emits!.

Water leakage caused a failure of the computer and wiring harness due to corrosion. Water was trapped in the door sills which was released whenever the door was opened. On the day of the failure a short had completely drained the battery. Dealer replaced the computer and harness outside of warranty and at extreme cost. Dealer states that there were leaks in the cowl and bulkhead seams.

21 Body problem

Failure Date: 12/10/2009

I had water coming into the passenger compartment when washing my car causing damage to the carpet. Dealership advised a weld from the firewall to the "a" post on passenger side was not made at factory and gramits had been missing with no sign of them ever being installed. Ford is refusing to fix and states the issue is with in their tolerances. As a Ford customer owning a $55,000 show Mustang this is not sitting well.

22 Body problem

Failure Date: 07/23/2009

2006 Ford Mustang is leaking excessive amounts of water onto front floor board area, beneath dash. Water is saturating electrical components, including fuse boxes and other electrical components, causing what I believe to be a serious hazard. An internet search of "mustang leak" will produce multiple hits of many other owners experiencing the identical problem. Ford has released TSB 08-26-7 detailing the problem for model years 2005 - 2009. Considering so many year models involved, this is obviously a design flaw in the manufacturing of the vehicle. Ford has yet to recall this issue and according to the local dealer, Ford does not consider this problem related to safety, which explains the lack of recall. Excessive amounts of water pouring onto the interior electrical components should be investigated as a possible safety concern. There were no events leading up to this incident. It began 5 months after the expiration of the bumper to bumper warranty. Currently, vehicle is scheduled to be repaired at a local body shop for an undetermined cost at this time. Again, there were no events, crash or any other type of damage to the vehicle which could have caused this problem. Thank you.

23 Body problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2008

Pools of water under removable floor mats on front driver & passenger floors. Carpet is rotted & smells of mold/mildew. Floor under driver seat buckles under driver weight(120 lbs) electrical box under passenger seat is sitting in water. Brought car to dealer for unrelated warranty items & advised them of water. I was told to open convertible top & reclose as that would probably resolve. Brought car back & said car was soaked & then advised warranty expired 40 days ago. Carpets need to be replaced as unsafe mold remains & wife experiencing chronic respiratory problems. Afraid floor under driver feet will open up due to excessive rust & cause injury to foot/feet with roadway or worse, driver seat will fall through. They were aware of inherent problem & disregarded danger to public health.

24 Body problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2007

Hood on my 2006 Ford Mustang gt pulsates when driving on highway. Looks like it is going to blow off.

25 Body problem

Failure Date: 04/15/2006

I am experiencing a water leak in the passenger side floor board of my 2006 Ford Mustang gt. I have had it to the dealer 4 times, and it still isn't fixed. I have searched online and have found several other people complaining about the exact same problem. Others have also experienced electrical problems because there is a fuse box located in the affected area. According to customer service, and the selling dealer, there are no known TSB's concerning this problem. The dealership has sealed the plastic wiper cowl, re-sealed a rubber grommet near the firewall, and they have replaced a seal over the passenger side door. According to other customers on Mustangforums. Com, there is a seam between the a-pillar and firewall that was not sealed properly at the factory. As I have experienced this problem 5 times now, I believe a lot more people probably have the same problem but don't know it because they have a garage.
