Side/window Air Bag problems of the 2006 Ford Mustang

2006 Mustang took the car to holman Ford dealership for the airbag recall. When removing the passenger side airbag the threaded holes on both the airbag assembly and the holes on the frame of the car were stripped. I was told there is no way to secure the assembly back onto the car safely. The dealership contacted Ford corporate for a remedy. It's been 2 months since I dropped the car off for the recall and other non related repairs. I filed a complaint with corporate and was issued a case number. It's been a week with no response from corporate or the dealership. I'm concerned that if and when the repair is done, will the repair be done correctly and will the car be safe to drive. I feel as if any repair is done it will be just be a quick fix and not safe. I'm at the mercy of the dealership at this point to return my car in a safe and secure condition. I have a few pictures the dealership sent me showing the stripped threaded holes. At this point I'm not sure what course of action needs to be taken. I get recall notices on a weekly basis which infuriates me considering I haven't had my car for 2 months for that exact issue.

Takata recall-- failure to fix in a timely manner. Notified of recall on 03/2017 and no remedy for recall has been released as of 02/2018. Car is not useable for carrying passengers in this condition due to inability to disable passenger airbag. This vehicle was also affected by recall for drivers side airbag interim fix (2014) and no permenant fix has yet to be released for this issue as well.

Takata recall. I have had the driver side airbag replaced but I am being told the parts for the passenger side are unavailable. I am a little concerned as to what I do at this point with the car. Will parts become available at some point ? or am I stuck with a car with a bad airbag ? I was hoping to get an answer as to what I am to do next. I haven't had any accidents with the car but would like to get the car repaired.

Takata recall driver's airbag replaced on may 28, 2015. Have been waiting a year for passenger side airbag to be available. I'm afraid to drive the car with a passenger. The wait time on this is not acceptable. When will parts finally be available?.

After getting the drivers airbag in my 08 Ford Mustang I have received info that it read only a temporary fix. So the drivers airbag had to be replaced again. The passengers side air bag is also defective. With no replacement parts available until spring/ summer 2018. So anyone riding in passengers side is st risk of harmful damage or death. They are not willing to provide me with a loaner car. So I asked what I can do to protect my passengers in the meantime. They tell me to have them ride in back seat. There's no back seat for adults bc it's a. Convertible. That leaves the trunk for a passenger. I'm afraid of getting sued by someone getting hurt in my car due to the negligence of Ford motor CO.

I took my car in to have the drivers side air bag replaced once there I was imformed that the dealership only had the drivers side and not the passenger side which also needed replacement. About 6 months later I was imformed that the driver side may have been replaced with another defected air bag its been almost a year and a half and still they have not replaced these air bags. Each time I call the dealership they imform me they stiill do not have any replacement bags period from takata what is going on ????.

Recall passenger side air bag defective notified for over 2 years dealerships say they don't have the parts to install under recall. . . Help is needed vehicle was hit airbag never opened on passage side.

Takata airbag recall Ford has not notified me that repair can be made on the passenger side airbag of my 2006 Mustang. When I call my local dealerships, I am told that I will be notified by Ford when the replacement parts are available, but I have been asking for the past 6 months and still no remedy has been forthcoming from Ford. All I want is to have my passenger airbag replaced so the danger can be removed from my Mustang. Ford is not addressing this dangerous issue in a timely manner. I am unhappy with them and that is the complaint. Please force them to provide the necessary recall and repair as soon as possible. Thanks!.

Takata recall. On two occasions I asked Ford to indicate whether or not the side air bags installed in my Mustang were supplied by takata and if so would they be recalled. On both occasions Ford sidestepped my request and refused to answer my questions directly. I believe Ford is being dishonest, only trying to limit their liability, at my safety and expense. Note: Ford has recalled both the frontal air bags but has only replaced one. (see attached letters). Please instruct Ford to indicate if the side air bags on my Mustang were supplied by takata, instruct Ford to recall them if they were and instruct Ford to expedite the replacement of the takata air bags not yet replaced (the second frontal air bag recall is over a year old). Note: there is no doubt in my mind that Ford has had enough time to resolve any technical or production issues and their delays are unreasonable.

I have been notified during the initial recall of the lethal takata airbags in my 2006 Mustang. Today, I have been contacting the dealer in margate florida where I purchased the vehicle. As of this date after numerous telephone calls, visits, I am still without the passenger side airbag. I left messages, not return calls, poor customer service responses, etc. . . I would like some assistance in getting the passenger side bag replaced. It's been several years and the car is a daily driven car before my family experience the sad events as other famllies has experienc3ed.

Takata recall - the driver's side airbag was serviced, but the passenger side is original. I have been unable to use the passenger-side front seat of my car for nearly a year because I don't want my passengers sitting near the defective airbag.

Drivers side airbag was replaced after waiting for months, only to find out there was another airbag on board car with recall, but, no available parts to perform safety update !!!.

Takata recall: we received a recall letter for the right side airbag (16v-384) July 2016, and now in Feb 2017 we are still waiting on parts to be available with no expected date. Note we had already waited over a year for the driver side airbag (that recall letter was from July 2015) which was finally resolved, and why both weren't recalled at the same time boggles me. Please push the parties to resolve replacing the right air bag. Driving essentially in a dangerous condition with air bag recalls spanning for a year and a half now is not acceptable.

Still no replacement part for passenger side air bag , I live in a hot climate area[fla]. My car is eleven years old and still no parts available. Please rush my order for replacement.

Takata recall passenger side airbag still "remedy not available" status after months. And I live in a hot warm climate in south louisiana. There has been no "incident"--yet. This is like driving around a bomb ready to kill the person next to me. I want this fixed!.

Takata recall need to replace passenger side airbag.

Takata recall contacted Ford directly, talked with two dealers and was told "it is the driver's side airbag only" had both of the driver 's side replacement recalls done after waiting for about a year for replacement parts for the second. Now I get a recall for the passenger side with again with "no replacement parts available" I paid extra for additional for side airbags in my car and I would like for someone like Ford, or the government to find out if the side curtain airbags are just as dangerous as the the others installed. So maybe they could get them all fixed before more folks get killed by "safety devices".

Takata recall - my driver side airbag has already been replaced twice. I received an additional recall letter (16s26) from Ford last summer, stating that my passenger side airbag needs to be replaced. Almost six months later, they still have not released parts to have this fixed. This is extremely frustrating, as I have not been able to carry passengers in my car for that entire time. Please do all you can to have the manufacturer release the parts as soon as possible.

Takata recall. . I have received two recalls for the driver side and passenger side air bags. My local Ford dealer, future Ford of clovis, has a waiting list of over 700 vehicles and Ford is only sending 5 replacement parts a week. When you call the Ford customer relationship center they, tell you the dealer can get as mant replacement parts they need. My family is driving an unsafe car and are at risk of bodily harm if the air bags are diploid. 15s21/nuts a recall 15v319.

I received a safety recall letter for my drivers side air bag and I have made several trips to the dealer and im being told to be patent and we will send you a letter when the work will be done , on the web site for recalls it says this was first recalled in 2014,I feel this is un safe if its been this long but the Ford dealership seems that they don't have the time, don't want to work with me or they just don't care, can someone please help me with this ?.

This morning the unexpected and unheard of happened my passenger side airbag inside the seat deployed for no apparent reason. I was pulling in to the gas station at about 5-10 mph with my brother in the passenger side and wife in backseat when all of a sudden the airbag exploded, my brother thought we got into a crash and wife thought we were getting shot at and I thought my engine exploded until my brother said it was the airbag and was complaining of pain in his arm while my wife complained she could not hear from the loud pop when it deployed. My car has Ford racing lowering springs I have had them on the car for almost two years. I recently drove from south carolina to texas and the roads were not smooth especially here in texas where it happened. I might understand the airbag in the seat deploying while hitting a hard bump but not when driving on a smooth concrete surface where it ended up deploying. I think if I was driving down the highway and the airbag inside the seat on the driver side would have deployed I could have lost control.

Takata recall - - takata holdings inc has filed for chapter 11 and has not made a replacement available for their defective and dangerous passenger side airbag which is still installed in my vehicle. I want it replaced and takata must make these repairs immediately at no cost to me or my family. Any passenger in my vehicle is at risk of injury or death from shrapnel should the airbag be deployed. Takata has replaced the driver side airbag but has not made a passenger side replacement available and it appears that it will not become available. In lieu of replacement, takata wants us to agree to a class action settlement and walk away from their responsibility with regard to manufacturing a safe replacement part to resolve the issue once and for all. We want the part replaced, not a cash settlement!.

Takata airbag recall--2006 Ford Mustang gt passenger side airbag. Been waiting for years to get this passenger side airbag replaced. Told several months ago not to let anyone ride in passenger seat. This is bull-----. I have waited long enough.

I have had 2 recalls, for both driver's side and passenger side airbags. In both instances, it takes a very long time to get these replaced. Meantime I am driving around in an unsafe vehicle. When I asked for a replacement vehicle until mine is repaired, I was told they didn't do that. It was bad enough when it was on my side, but now it's on the side where my mother, who suffers from dementia, usually sits. I have enough to worry about with her, without having to worry about the airbag deploying and injuring or killing her. I purchased their product in good faith, and now, through no fault of my own, I am forced to drive around in a possible death trap. I don't think asking for a temporary replacement vehicle is an unreasonable request.
