The contact owns a 2010 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving 40 mph the rack and pinion unit malfunctioned. The rack and pinion makes the vehicle difficult to steer. The contact has taken the vehicle to the dealer who has not found any defects within the rack and pinion. The contact is afraid to drive the vehicle. The failure mileage was 5,813.
Was getting a shutter feel while driving. Sam pack Ford replaced power steering pump, power steering reservoir and power steering hose assembly to fix problem. My be of concern for other Mustang owners.
Tl- takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that there was a progressing failure in which the steering wheel was being hot as well as the vehicle shaking in the front of the vehicle. The contact was also included in NHTSA campaign number: 15v319000 (air bag) and the part was not available for several months to receive the repair. The vehicle was not diagnosed yet to determine the failure and when the manufacturer was contacted, they were unable to determine when the part would become available to receive the recall repair.
