Unknown Or Other problem #1

Shifting from 1st to 2nd gear clunking slipped out of gear transmission problems.

Unknown Or Other problem #2

2011 Mustang gt with 6477 miles, with 6 speed manual transmission. Taking off from a stop sign and attempting to shift from from 1st gear to 2nd gear, resulted in only being able to shift from 1st gear to neutral. Once the shifter moved into the neutral position, the vehicle is no longer able to shift into any gear. Had to coast the vehicle to a safe stopping point with no engine power and towed to the nearest dealer for repair. This is the 2nd incident with the transmission on this vehicle in less than 1 year, with the prior incident being a faulty slave clutch cylinder. (this vehicle is not equipped with the 'skip shift' feature that is meant to increase gas mileage by locking out certain gears. ).

Unknown Or Other problem #3

Faulty 6-speed manual transmission. Any time the vehicle is on an incline 20 degrees or higher and being shifted from 2nd gear (around 18-20mph) to any other gear the shifter gets stuck in neutral with inability to go to any other gear until the engine rpm drops. This shifting delay can take anywhere form 3 to 7 seconds, before another gear is available to engage.

Unknown Or Other problem #4

My 2011 Mustang has had some transmission issues for the last couple months. After reading some of the forums and getting an idea of some of the issues that other people are having (many of which I am as well), I can report the problem which got noticeably worse over the last few weeks. When driving the vehicle, 1. It's very difficult to shift into first gear (even when the car is stopped you really need to exert a little strength). 2. 1st to 2nd shifts very rocky, and it is very difficult to get a smooth shift from 1st to 2nd without the car bucking. 3. When shifting at a higher rpm from third to fourth (such as when accelerating on an onramp to merge onto a highway when the rpm may be exceeding 3500-4000 rpms), there is a tremendous grind in the shift, and to avoid I must shift into neutral from third wait a second and then engage into fourth. 4. When downshifting I have noticed that the front end seems to be almost locking up especially when the wheel is turned (this is within the last week), and all of these issues have exacerbated themselves since the cold weather has arrived.

Unknown Or Other problem #5

Normal everyday driving, mostly highway driving back and forth to work. I bought the car brand new and at this time it has about 10k miles. Since I bought it I noticed it was hard to shift into gears. Over time it got worse. It got to the point that I could not put it into reverse and first gear, I had to start out in second gear. I took my car into the shop to repair the item and they said it was the clutch plate. Bottom line is that it was a brand new car and shouldn't have this kind of problem. I also feel that it could have caused damage to the transmission which the dealer will not admit to.

Unknown Or Other problem #6

The Mustang is a manual transmission and has been having problems since the 900mi (1. 5 months after purchase). The clutch assembly and transmission assembly are having to be replaced by Ford because they are not engaging correctly. Ford dealership tried to blame it on modifications done to the car. But after getting an engineer on site from Ford, they found it be faulty clutch and transmission assembly from the factory.

Unknown Or Other problem #7

I was proceeding from a stop sign to merge with on-coming traffic and was not able to enter 2nd gear and only after shifting into 3rd instead was able to avert being hit. It was not due to the 1st to 4th skip shift feature. The car has already been into Ford (for a technical service bulletin repair for the transmission) to fix the shifting problem, but the vehicle is still hard to shift in lower gears and now has transmission whine. This is very dangerous! many others are affected by this problem. Ford needs to recall this transmission.

Unknown Or Other problem #8

The car has a manual 6 speed transmission. When wearing loafers and with depression of the clutch to shift, the heel of the loafer upon releasing the clutch will catch on the floor mat and the shoe will dislodge from my foot. This has happened more than a dozen times and can/will cause an accident. It has happened with 3 different pairs of shoes. This can happen at any speed. The event described above was while backing out of the driveway but it has happened while shifting normally. I have notified Ford customer service today and they may provide me with a different floor mat however this is a concern with the design of this floor mat and should be addressed by Ford.
