2 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 04/19/2023

I have a beautiful 2011 Ford Mustang that has been rendered useless because the brake lights and turn signals continually blow a fuse. The car cannot be repaired because Ford quit making the needed part after the car was 8 years old. This not only creates an unnecessary expense of purchasing a new car it is also a safety hazard. After extensively searching for the part on the internet I found many cases of people needing that part with no luck finding it. As info the part number is ar3z13c788f. How many people will be driving around without brake lights and turn signals because Ford decided brake lights aren't necessary after a car is 8 years old.

3 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 11/29/2020

The contact owns a 2011 Ford Mustang. The contact stated while driving at various speeds and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to respond. The message "service auto advancetrac" was displayed. The contact stated that she continued to depress the brake pedal until the vehicle responded. The contact stated that there was a significant stopping distance delay. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring more frequently while driving, and the vehicle was sliding while stopping, nearly causing a crash. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer however, the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

4 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 11/07/2017

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 Ford Mustang. While driving approximately 30 mph, the brake pedal was depressed, but failed to stop the vehicle. As a result, the contact rear ended another vehicle. The air bags deployed. A police report was filed. The contact sustained injuries to the chest, sternum, and back, which required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to a towing facility. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags). The failure mileage was unknown. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

5 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 06/28/2017

Takata recall. Airbags pushing passenger dash panels out.

6 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 06/17/2014

The traction control energized and applied brakes temporarily while backing out of a parking space about may 20, 2014. Yesterday, it temporarily activated again during a u-turn on a city street. About a block later I entered the freeway and approached 70mph then it activated and kept pulsing the brakes causing the vehicle to slow quickly. I was in heavy traffic and had to move over 3 lanes to get to the shoulder. As I approached the shoulder the system disengaged and I had no other problems the rest of the day. I am having the system inspected at a local dealership. This is a dangerous issue.

7 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/31/2014

Air fail to deploy when hit by a uninsured motorist who was speeding through a school zone did an legal lane change hit me while I was making a left turn seat belt on left turn bleaker on turning when safe bam!!! never seen it coming my head slammed into the steel fame of my 2011 Ford Mustang v6 head neck back mid lower back every thing from head to toe on my left hurts like hell ribs on both sides knees hands feet as well.

8 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 03/05/2012

When driving my vehicle on a strait level road doing 25 mph I tapped the brakes then my traction control light came on and the car began to surge forward and back. I tried to accelerate but the car was having issues. When I went to pull over I pressed the brake and it was hard like a rock and was pulsating, I then kicked the brake pedal as hard as I could and everything returned to normal. I took it to my local Ford dealer for the 3rd time and they said no problem found.

9 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 07/27/2011

Twice while accelerating to get up to highway speeds, on clear, flat, dry, and smooth pavement the advanctrac system activated for no reason. It starts by very aggressively pulsing the front right brake, followed by the rear left brake, then alternating brakes all the way around causing the car to swerve almost out of control, at higher speeds like 65-70 it probably would cause total loss of control. The advanctrac also cuts engine power along with the hard swerving makes it even more difficult to avoid a crash in multiple lane highway traffic. This last for about 15 seconds, but it is 15 seconds of out of control highway terror. After shutting off the car on the 2 occasions it then drives for a while like it never happened. When the Ford dealer cannot replicate the problem, and it does not record any error or diagnostic codes in the cars computer system. So Ford says there is nothing they can do to fix this safety problem. Talking with other Mustang owners I found out I am not the only one with this exact same problem with advanctrac, and one other that I know of said he also filled a complaint on here, he said it was complaint number - 10430166. He also said that Ford could not duplicate the problem and he also had no codes, so Ford would not fix his problem. Somehow we have to get to the bottom of this malfunction, it is supposed to be a safety system to help protect you from a crash, not a computer malfunction that causes a crash when the driver is doing nothing wrong on good road conditions. Please help!.

10 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 06/15/2011

Approx. 1-2 times a month, after leaving my house and driving a short, paved street going to the main road, my advancetrac light on the dash will start blinking, indicating the stability control system has been activated. Along with this the right front brake will be activated by the abs system. Typically will happen for 10-15 seconds then as I come to a stop to turn on to the main road it will stop. When I then turn on to the main road, as I am accelerating, this will happen again. Sometimes the brake pulsating the front right wheel is light and not too intrusive. Sometimes, if accelerating hard enough, the system will cut engine power, and alternately pulsate the front right and rear left brakes, nearly pulling me out of my lane, as I fight to drive straight. Again this lasts for about 10-15 seconds. After which car behaves perfectly fine, like it never happened. It never leaves any diagnostic codes in the computer system, or any trace that it ever happened, the Ford techs have never been able to replicate the problem, and I can not make it happen on command. Is totally random.

11 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 01/15/2011

I have had problems with the brakes 2 weeks after I got the car. After extensive research by the head engineer, they found that Ford was using 2010 brakes and never told the mechanics that there are 2011 brakes they should be using. I was not only hearing squeaking but grinding. As of now, I am in a lemon law suit. Ford says I am not eligible for re-purchase but the law states if the car was in the shop for the same issue 3 times you are eligible. I love my Mustang but safety is #1.

12 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 12/21/2010

When I am breaking at about 3-5 mph the car will lunge forward (feels like I was rear ended but no cars behind me) occasionally I will go to accelerate and canã‚t get above 15 mph I have to turn the car off and back on then it's fine. The air bag light off for the passenger seat will come on even with a 250 lb person sitting there, I have had people try to shift their weight but it still comes on after 5 minutes of driving it goes away. The peddle pressure to the brakes feel low and I have tapped my brakes ans the abs activated causing the brakes pulsate at 25 mph. The driver side engine will intermediately sequel and the car will idle extremely rough, it does it mostly at idle but I have had it happen at a stop light after 1 hour of driving. Also I always feel a ton of engine vibration on the break pedal.
