During initial acceleration after a left turn, shifting from 1st into 2nd gear, the vehicle shook wildly and violently rocked side to side and lost power. This was the second identical occurrence on city streets while accelerating out of left turns. On both occasions, had to make immediate moves to the right lane before power was restored. Based on other reporting and research, it appears to be an issue of throttle body failure. The vehicle has 18,500 miles and has a mt-82 transmission.

I was driving in the expressway at 60 mph when suddenly my car lost power on the acceleration. A wrench tool appear and the dashboard on the rpm clock . . . At that moment the car desaccelerate almost to 30 mph and I was unable to gain speed. I went to a side of the road, turn it off and restarted the car. Everything appear to be normal but the first thing I did was go to the dealer. They run a test on it and told me that the problem was related to the electeic throttle body. I dont understand how is possible to happend something like that when my car barely has 4 years. There is no warranty on ot and the repair for it is really expensive.

While merging on a local highway at 15 mph the wrench warning light came and the car went into limp mode. I was lucky the right hand lane had break in traffic and I was able to get off the road. The limp turned in no acceleration and was unresponsive to the gas pedal. I turned the car off and waited 1 minute and restarted the car - everything was back to normal. I drove directly to my mechanic and had him scan for codes. No codes were found. He ran numerous other checks and drove the car for 60 miles with no problems. This is the second time the wrench warning light has come on in the last 3 weeks. The first time nothing happened as the car did not go into limp mode. The car was scanned then also with no codes showing. I was fortunate not to have been hit.

While my son was driving on the freeway, the vehicle suddenly decelerated, down to about 20 mph, forcing him to limp to the side of the freeway, where there was no shoulder. After turning the vehicle off, letting it sit for a minute, and turning it back on, it accelerated fine. I took it to the Ford dealership, where it was diagnosed as a faulty throttle body and motor assembly. It cost $683. 32 to repair. I googled the problem and found that many Ford models have had this problem, but the Mustang has no extended warranty for this same problem like the fusion and a few other models do. This was terribly dangerous. My son could have been killed.

I had two incidents of unintended acceleration in my 2012 Ford Mustang gt automatic transmission premium pkg. These two incidents occurred on the same day March 5, 2013. The first was after I picked up my car from its garage of several weeks at lunch and drove back to work. I had gone about two blocks from my garage and was braking to slow down to make a right hand turn when the car down shifted and accelerated by itself while I was pressing the brake pedal. I was going about 5 mph when this all started. It lasted for about 3 seconds and then the car released and stopped the acceleration and I was able to slow down and make my right hand turn. I continued on back to work and complained to my CO-worker about what had happened and how I was beginning to become afraid of the Mustang. He is my witness about this happening before the second incidence occurred. Later on I left work to go home and on the way home it happened again a second time only this time much stronger. I was in bumper to bumper traffic going under interstate hwy 820 bridge in fort worth to go under the bridge after going through a traffic light on each side to make a left hand turn to get on the west bound ih820. Well because of the traffic you have to stop at one light on the south side of the bridge and then again stop to get through the second light on the north side of the bridge to turn left. Anyway there was a large semi-truck hauling rocks in front of me and I stayed back about 60 feet so as not to get the rocks on new car. He went down to the other light which was red and stopped I was going about 5 mph again and started to brake way back from him because of the rocks and the red light. The car again accelerated on its own while I was pressing the brake pedal. I fought it the whole way but it would not let release till 15 feet from truck. I then crashed. I could have been killed!.

It was a clear and warm day in southern California. Roads had no dirt, water, debris, etc. . I was driving about 35-40 and had just gone in to 4th gear. My 2012 v6 Mustang suddenly swerved to the left really hard forcing me in to the left lane and almost in to another vehicle. Then to the right which almost made me lose control. Felt like each tire was locking up independently. The traction control light was flashing. Felt like I got a flat and that my car was braking all by itself. I tried to throttle up a second later to get out of traffic and it had no response. The proplem with the vehicle started when I tried to start it. When I turned the key the vehicle took a few seconds longer than usual to start up. As I began driving down the highway my vehicle wouldnt shift gears out of 40mph and caused the engine to have high rpm. When I turned off the engine at a gas station and tried to start it back up. Vehicle would not start and I had to get it jumped. Vehicle still doesnt shift gears. This vehicle is only 1 year and 1 month old since I purchased it.

Driving the vehicle in any gear, when gas pedal to the floor, the car will fall on it's face when reaching 3000 rpm's and up at all speeds. It misses and the ti-vct isn't engaging correctly. Oil level is full, and the spark plugs look great. The vehicle will not even throw an mil light. The vehicle drives fine at low rpm's, but once you down shift to go faster it feels like it misfires and the engagement of the ti-vct is coming in and out.

While driving slowly at a intersection and gently applying the brakes the engine accelerated and the abs went on but the car didn't stop until I turned the corner. I checked the next day to see if it was possible that I had applied the brakes and the accelerator pedal. There is no way my foot could have applied both systems simultaneously. I had the dealer check my auto today but because the check engine didn't come on the could not find any malfunction. This is the first occurrence on the 2012 Ford Mustang v6.
