After putting the vehicle in drive and application of the gas pedal, the transmission would fail to engage first gear. This occurred intermittently and occasionally while driving. The transmission would also downshift to first while driving at 35mph. Brought to Ford and they identified the lead frame and connector as faulty parts. Ford has a recall 16s19 that covers my Mustang's build date and location but said my VIN wasn't included despite the exact same symptoms and exact same parts identified by a Ford technician that needed to be replaced. Ford the customer service refused to cover the repairs to a dangerous condition.
V6 automatic shifting problems. Vehicles transmission has hesitation upon acceleration. Often while merging onto highway, or changing lanes transmission does not engage. Upon acceleration rpm's will rise but vehicle does not increase speed. Ford service department says vehicle is operating as it should.
On multiple occasions while shifting into a higher gear at 7000 - 7500 rpm the clutch peddle did not return to the fully engaged position and the clutch did not fully engage. After driving 1 or 2 miles the situation corrected itself. Manual 6 speed manual transmission and 5. 0l v-8 engine. Boss 302 model. Several phone contacts with Ford and Ford racing resulted in their indication of no knowledge of the clutch sticking problem. 2 Ford dealers I spoke to also claimed to know nothing about this situation.
Transmission whine/grating with clutch engaged traveling at speed. Frequent grinding heard/felt going into 3rd and 4th gears mostly when cold. Difficulty shifting into some gears. Clutch will not reengage over approx 4,000 rpm.
The contact owns a 2012 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that the transmission would not engage into third or fourth gear. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The current and failure mileages were 4400.
I was driving along the freeway going 55 mph when I down shifted to slow down and the gear would not engage into the 5th gear from 6th gear. I put it in neutral then put it in 5th gear with no ill effect. Also when driving on the local street sometimes the gear would grind from 2 to 3 and a couple of times from 5 to 6 gear.
