2014 Ford Mustang experiencing exact same issues as when car is parked and shifting into the gear intended by the driver. 4 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 04/30/2021

Door latch failure caused by high heat environment, vehicle initially purchased in the state of arizona. When the door is attempted to be closed it will either bounce open catching on a latch jammed in the closed position, or when closed it will effortlessly push open without the need to engage the door handle. Ford corporate told me this would be a free recall service, but when I showed up for my appointment the dgdg dealer attempted to charge me $200 for a diagnostic. I don't need a diagnostic I know what's wrong, I don't appreciate being lied to or taken for a fool.

My 2014 Mustang began stalling out from a stopped position it happened 4 times in 2 days on major highways. 6/13/2019. It was driven to kindle Ford in cape may court house, NJ. They claimed they could not find a "code" to fix anything. Charged $136. 00 for nothing. I picked my vehicle up on 6/14. Still stalled from a stopped position. On 6/18 the vehicle completely shut off 7 times within a 4 block radius. I was stuck on highway and was helped to push into an empty lot. Towed back to kindle for now the engine was on and they say it is the throttle body assembly. Another $387. 00 cost.

6 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 02/13/2019

Water clogged under the driver's seat of Ford Mustang 2014 convertible. The vehicle was stationary parked in front of home along the curb for 15-20 days and its rainy season in California. A puddle is formed on the left side under the driver's seat. Car was parked downhill so water accumulated in the front. It's because of the water which gets accumulated overtime in the left/driver door in some models of Mustang. Overtime, it crosses threshold and starts leaking inside the vehicle. Ideally, water should be drained automatically. But to remove water from door you have to remove the black plug at bottom of the door. And no way to remove water from inside of the car. It potentially causes serious damage to internals of car and molds. There have been numerous people facing this issue and its common in some Mustangs. It's clearly a manufacturing defect and vehicles should be recalled. Https://mustangforums. Com/forum/3-7l-v6-technical-discussions/696287-water-sloshing-around-inside-driver-s-door. Html.

Takata recall.

8 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 05/30/2018

Takata recall - we have received numerous letters, postcard and emails about the airbag recall and we have tried, unsuccessfully numerous times to set up a date and time for the airbag replacement with our dealership. I have called the dealership and spoke to several people telling the issues repeatedly to each person I spoke to. I was transferred to the service manager I was told whom did not answer and I left a very detailed message regarding the reason for my call, the specifics of the car and multiple ways to contact myself or my fiance. I have had to call several more times die to not receiving any return call from anyone at the dealership for over a month. I have looked to see if I could schedule and appointment online and they do not have that option available. Therefore I have had to take time away from other obligations to go to the dealership to complain to attempt to have this remedied. Initially they were receptive and now four days later they have reverted back to failing to return my phone calls. I have also been experiencing issues with corrosion on the battery and the battery wire cables since I purchased the car. Despite making the dealership aware of this they have failed to take any steps to even determine the issue. Additionally, my security system on my car was apparently bypassed by thieves and I have talked to the top boss of this dealership and he has informed me that the security system is in fact disabled and that without them running a diagnostics test on the car they cannot determine to what extent the security system is damaged, if it is reparable, or if there may be more significant damage to the computer / electrical system. My security system has been non-functional for a month at this point and I cannot get the dealership to simply return my call to remedy this.

9 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 08/11/2017

The vehicle has under 7,500 miles and a service advancetrac warning just came up on my commute to work this morning. Was driving on a nice road in downtown riverside and had no impact or other events prior to the light turning on. The vehicle's braking is not apparently inhibited. Ford states that this is out of warranty.

10 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/08/2017

I have not received any information as to when I can have repairs done by manufacturer.

11 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2016

Takata recall I have called the local dealership to get the air bags replaced and they have put me off for over 2-years. They have stated parts have not been received for my auto and have added us to the list.

12 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 09/04/2015

Driving vehicle in stop and go highway traffic, lane opened to merge on another highway when acceleration began the front air spoiler (plastic cover under engine)became unhinged from front supports and hit the road surface and began to throw small rocks from the surface of the road.

13 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 11/18/2014

Since aprox 500 miles I have noticed a very consistant knock knock knock noise coming from the right side rear wheel area. Ford dealer looked and has said its a normal operating noise for the car per for engineers. I do not agree. Its a knock knock knock at low, parking lot speeds and can be heard driving straight or a little easier to hear when turning. This is a new car that has not been raced, abused or modifyed at all and its completely wrong for them to say this noise is normal.

14 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 10/28/2014

Upon accelration to pass a slow vehicle a strong odor started to fill the vehicle, almost like a propane smell. This I later learned to be exhaust fumes, or I should note, unburned fule passing throught he system. This is the 3rd time this has occurred, and only does this under acceleration when passing slower vehicles or using more power to ascend hills or mountain type roads. Vehicle throwns no ses codes. Vehicle does not stutter or hestitate, but as noted does produce a foul smell under harder acceleration.

15 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 07/15/2014

From day 1 until present with 6400 miles, this car on hard acceleration, brings in exhaust fumes so severe that the fumes will make you physically sick and will even set off a carbon dioxide detector ( this happens with all windows shut and the air on recirculate). Normal driving, no problem if engine rpms are kept below 1500 rpm --- but---- don`t try to get up to speed merging on a freeway or any high revving situation. Ford dealer won`t do anything until it throws a computer code, which it has not. Ford customer service is a joke after spending hours on the phone. I think I bought a modern yugo.

16 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/10/2014

Stopped vehicle in parking lot after traveling approximately 10 miles. Placed the car in park for about 10 minutes, then attempted to put in reverse. Shifter was stuck in park. Had to have towed to dealership.
