The lower control arms in the front end have ben replaced three times due to a noise problem when going over a speed bump or bump in the road.
As I drive my car over bumps (speed bumps, going up or down in parking garage) the car grunts or squeaks. I bought it brand new on March first of 2014, and I noticed the problem not too long after buying it; I assumed it was normal because my previous 2007 Mustang had the same issue. I told some friends who suggest I take it to Ford. When I was describing what the problem the service tech new exactly what it was. They had a recall for 2011 to 2013 Mustangs for what appears to be the same issue. They repaired the lower arm controls in the front. The issue is now gone. It sounds like the recall should be extended to 2014 models. I have a 2014 Ford Mustang 3. 7l v6 with the performance package. The following excerpt is what I believe to be is the same problem addressed in a previous recall. Ford TSB article # 12-8-24 issue some 2011-2013 Mustangs may exhibit a grunt/creak/chirp/squeak noise from the front lower control arm hydro bushing. These noises may occur over large vertical bumps like speed bumps, pot holes, rough roads, and driveway approaches.
8 failures on front lower control arms. Begins as a sqeaking/groaning from the front end. To this point, has progressed to a wander in the steering, excessive tire wear and jerky steering.
