I was driving down the highway with heater on and defrost. All of a sudden I hear a pop and my car started bogging down. I exited the highway to get out of danger, it then had a wrench light ( transmission) pop up and when I parked the car on the access road it started smoking a lot. I turned the vehicle off immediately and when I seen smoke coming from under the hood and into the cab of the car. I lifted the hood after seeing fire in the passenger wheel well. And then in the engine block towards the windshield in the middle of the engine. I am a fire fighter and it appeared to me that the fire was being fed by some kind of substance. Fort worth fire department showed up and put the fire out and took a report.
With only 32,885 miles, engine light came on due to (p0456) evap small leak. Went to an auto shop and Ford dealer for diagnostic scan. Both technicians found that there is a bit of smoke coming out from the top of the fuel tank due to a small stress crack at the port near the canister vent hose as well as a small crack below fuel pressure sensor tube. New fuel tank replacement was recommended as the crack could not be repaired. Cost to fix is $1,400 parts and $1,200 labor. This small crack nears the fuel tank seems to be a major concern for owners as it could increase the risk of vehicle fire and should be a recall by Ford for immediate remedy.
Back up camera goes in and out, fuel pump started making bad sounds a few month after buying it like screeching sounds got the car around 39000.
There is a recall for fuel odor on build dates 9/14-10/14 due to a failed fuel line sensor. My vehicle has a build date of 8/14 and is experiencing the same issue but not covered under the recall, which is a heavy fuel odor after putting gas in. Any amount of fuel put in has a severe odor, it doesn't have to be filled.
Canister purge valve malfunction stuck in an open position. If this occurs, an excessive vacuum in the fuel system could cause deformation of the vehicle’s plastic fuel tank. Indicator light check engine with fluctuating or inaccurate fuel levels. This could lead to a stall while driving and/or an inability to restart the vehicle, which can increase the risk of a crash.
Fuel line. There is a sensor that comes on when you put fuel in the vehicle. I think it has to do with the vapor line from past Ford recalls on Mustangs.
I was driving my 2015 twin eco-boost car on a city street, when I I heard something under hood. And right at that moment smoke was rolling out from under the hood. When I stopped and got out, thats when a witness told me she saw flames coming out from under the car it melted everything under the hood. Every wire was exsposed. I am waiting for report from fire department. I do have a picture of it. Fire chief said battery exploded.

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that when his daughter would drive the vehicle at various speeds, she could smell a burning rubber odor emitting from the vehicle. While the contact's daughter was driving at 50 mph, she noticed white smoke coming from the engine without warning. The contact immediately pulled over the vehicle and called her father. The contact had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic who discovered that the valve cover gasket had caused oil to spill over the manifold. The contact then called angela krause Ford(1575 mansell rd, alpharetta, GA 30009) where they informed him that there were no recalls on the vehicle and referred him to the manufacturer. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and informed him that the dealer would have to perform a diagnostic to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer stated that they may offer financial assistance if the failure was determined to be linked to NHTSA campaign number: 14v774000(fuel system, gasoline); which did not include his vehicle. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was 56,000.
The fuel tanked cracked. It was no longer able to hold vacuum. The engine light came on and stayed on. The 2. 3l Mustang had a similar issue due to heat. It was inspected and fix at a local repair shop.
Took my Ford Mustang to Ford and they told me they had to replace the fuel vapour hose. Once job was completed I asked if it was covered since I had done research and it was a recall this Mustang had. They said no, and ended up paying 350. 84. Is there any way I can get a refund?.
When my engine is running it leakes gasoline not from the exhaust but behind it where the hose is at I would really like this reported I just bought this car from covina Chevrolet about a month ago.
Unexpected high rpm acceleration from rest. Started the engine and put the vehicle in. . . Rpms jumped to 4,000 and vehicle accelerated until brakes applied and engine shut off. Luckily no vehicles behind me. The vehicle left 20 foot long burn marks in the pavement before I could react and slam on the brakes and shut off the vehicle. Over the next 15 minutes, I carefully started the engine with my foot on the brake pedal. . . Each time the engine started normally and within a few seconds the engine accelerated to 3000 to 4000 rpms without me ever touching the accelerated (my foot stayed on the brake pedal). Each time I quickly hit the stop button. After waiting for several hours for the non-appearance of a tow truck. . . I carefully started the engine again. But this time, it ran correctly. I carefully drove to a nearby Ford dealership, where it now sits waiting for a diagnosis. If there had been any other vehicles behind me in the parking lot. . . I would have impacted on or more.
The purge control valve possibly also described as a purge canister valve is defective and is not available for replacement purchas through many auto part stores. This product causes excessive raw fuel to enter into the engine causing major engine damage along with harmful emission fumes into the environment. While in idle the car tends to shut off or drop below standard idle rpm. There is also loss of power due to this defect part. Ford does not cover this part service under their warrenty and consumer is forced to pay an expensive service to get problem resolve due to the fact that they are the only one with access to this part. This should be a concern and under the emissions law and be covered under warrenty through the manufacture. On a side note, the emmisions control module is also effected and consumer is forced to pay an addition cost for this repair as well. This is a problem with majority of the new Mustangs year ranging for 2015-2017.
Car smoking at idling and driving white smoke. Known issue or recall and my car is experiencing this issue but is not showing up for my VIN. Smoking so much it is getting inside my cabin making it hard to breath.
Car engine shut off completely while disengaging the clutch coming to a stop on busy roads with my child in the car.

I was driving down the road and when I tried to brake for a stop light the brake pedal pulsed against the pressure of my foot and would not let me stop. I used the emergency brake to keep from wrecking my vehicle into the vehicle in front of me. I decided to go directly to my workplace, using my emergency bake to stop at each light/stopsign, after this happened. In addition to the brake issue, when I went to accelerate from stop the vehicle would accelerate very slowly as if in a limp mode. No lights have appeared on my dash and Ford has told me there are no codes stored. They say that having it towed has reset my vehicle?!? Ford has told me that because they dont see any codes stored in the computer I should pick up my vehicle and drive off with it. My father ownes a mobile electronics shop and has seen lots of different issues on many vehicles where the cpu's in the vehicle has issues and causes the vehicle to act in many faulty ways. Some with codes, others without. It appears to me that one or more of the cpu's in my vehicle have a defect causing my vehicle to act this way. I feel very unsafe driving this car now and do not agree with Ford that I should continue driving my vehicle.
While driving from south carolina to boston MA, a distance of 1,000 miles, on June 12-13, 2015, I began experiencing severe eye irritation, sore throat, and dizziness. There was an acrid odor that I initially though was coming from the air conditioning system. The red eyes, sore throat and dizziness persisted for several days after I arrived in boston, reducing in severity with each day because I did not drive the car while there. However, when I drove back from boston to south carolina, the symptoms reappeared. I took the vehicle to the Ford dealership where I bought it new and they check the refrigerant in the a/c system and could find nothing. They recommended using only the max air system in order to eliminate exterior air from the system. Telling me that certain chemicals used in prepping the engine compartment for delivery to a customer can exude irritating fumes. I told them the fumes I had experienced seemed to me to be more fuel related, but not the odor of raw gasoline. I have been using the max air settings and have not had a similar symptom experience, although I have only driving short distances since returning from boston. I have received recall notice 15s19 from Ford, but I believe the recall notice utterly fails to explain the physical danger to occupants of the vehicle resulting from prolonged exposure to the fumes. I believe the recall notice needs to be amended to express an urgency relating to the medical impact of this problem as I have experienced it. It took more than 10 days for the symptoms, in particular the dizziness and sore throat, to subside.
